I am talking of course about the Roger-Kiefer slam :D Kiefer did not make round of 16, so Roger will not manage to win against him in 4 consecutive slams.

Speaking more seriously, Kiefer is just a nuisance for Roger, he would much prefer seeing him in the next round than Tomas.

Which is why Federer lost a grand total of 3 games to Tomas the last time they played on clay? No, I am glad he doesn't have to play Kiefer; Kiwi always gives him trouble, and Berdych is total crap on clay.

I think he's talking about the Berdych 2005 version who Federer pounded on clay in Hamburg 6-2 6-1

If Berdych is playing well at the moment it could be a good match though I shouldn't think Federer will lose.

If I recall correctly Kiefer was the only one to take a set off Federer last year on Wimbledon, and one of 3 people to take a set off him on US Open. He's not an easy opponent for Roger.

Neither is clay...but ya, Fed has had some trouble with both of them, but not Nalby/Nadal level trouble. Meh, its the round of 16, if Fed loses, it'll be the upset of the year, much like every one of his rounds of 16 for the last 8 or so slams.

He's still coming up short on footspeed and will probably try to hit through anything Roger throws at him which should mean a lot of UE's. He would be a lot more worrisome on a surface he could hit winners on more routinely. That said he might do a little damage.
