Aleksa's Laydee 06-02-2006, 05:49 PM DAMNIT!!!!!!!! :fiery: Dmitry :sobbing:  Scotso 06-02-2006, 05:50 PM Dima  LLeytonRules 06-02-2006, 05:53 PM Nice comeback by David.I dont know what to say too Dima.He let his guard down. ufokart 06-02-2006, 05:54 PM Great fight Nalby!!! :woohoo: After the first 2 sets, i thought he was done for, but he proved me wrong by fighting to the end. I thought he was going to choke at the end, but luckily he pulled trough. He will face Vassallo Arguello in the fourth round :rocker2: Dima  he did great and totally surprised me, now he has to think about Wimbledon, where i feel he will make a great showing. rofe 06-02-2006, 05:55 PM It was too much to expect Dima to win the match over five sets. He should have finished the match in three. Nalby :yeah: DrJules 06-02-2006, 05:56 PM I think Dmitry has proved this week that he is not a clay court clown. marti_228 06-02-2006, 05:56 PM Great fight, David!.....really well played by Tursunov, It really surprised me that he was up 2 sets. Nalbo was 40-0 when he was serving for match (5/2) and the he lost the game, I was a bit scared but then he could finish it. Argenbrit 06-02-2006, 05:57 PM Nalbo! :worship: Great fight, Dima. I never thought he'd play like that. justClaudia 06-02-2006, 05:57 PM Oh Dahveed, why you make me suffer? Nice comeback. Meeek 06-02-2006, 05:58 PM Dmitry, great fight :yeah: What a scare you gave to David  Good result in this GS though, on clay, for god's sake ;) Now bring on the grass :rocker2: Nalby, you're as good as in the quarterfinal now, go kick some asses! Yappa 06-02-2006, 05:59 PM Impressive! :yeah: Did Tursunov play that well in the first two sets or was Nalbandian just hitting tons of UEs? I only saw 1-2 games on Eurosport and noticed the immense speed in the rallys. Tursunov was really going for the winners in these. Raymz 06-02-2006, 05:59 PM damn but these massive forehand shots was so impressive by Tursunov. Defenetly great talant for HC and grass... scoobs 06-02-2006, 06:01 PM Good job by David to outlast Dima, because Tursunov was in very good form for 2 sets and a bit. I think David's going to have to go up a few gears in this tournament, though - playing 5 set matches in R3 isn't what he wants to be doing at all. oneandonlyhsn 06-02-2006, 06:03 PM Impressive! :yeah: Did Tursunov play that well in the first two sets or was Nalbandian just hitting tons of UEs? I only saw 1-2 games on Eurosport and noticed the immense speed in the rallys. Tursunov was really going for the winners in these. Dima was really going for his shots in the 1st 2 sets, he really rattled David. I expected an upset from the way they were both playing. But like everyone knows, its not over until its over against Nalby. Well done fatty :bigclap: Denaon 06-02-2006, 06:04 PM Congrast David! :woohoo: Man, I hate so much being at work and miss all these matches!! :fiery: willie 06-02-2006, 06:06 PM great david!!!...he is in the way for the big clashes against: gaudio in quarters federer in semis nadal in final:woohoo: hope he wins it all!!! Argenbrit 06-02-2006, 06:08 PM great david!!!...he is in the way for the big clashes against: gaudio in quarters federer in semis nadal in final:woohoo: hope he wins it all!!! :yeah: Except that Gaudio will lose to Davy. :p willie 06-02-2006, 06:10 PM :yeah: Except that Gaudio will lose to Davy. :p i hopeeeeeeeee :worship: :worship: GO DAVYDENKO!!!:woohoo:  Neely 06-02-2006, 07:25 PM A very strong turnaround for Nalbandian! gillian 06-02-2006, 07:34 PM In my heart of hearts, I never believed Nalbandian would lose this match. Still, I am miffed at Dmitry for giving me hope. bad gambler 06-02-2006, 09:41 PM Losing today would have been totally unexceptable from Dahveed. Vamos musefanatic 06-02-2006, 10:15 PM I really thought Dmitry had him at 2 sets to 0 down but just shows how great a tennis player and how mentally strong Nalby is. Good for him :) yoguis 06-02-2006, 10:43 PM Vamos David! :) The Daviator 06-02-2006, 11:25 PM What a comeback from David! Vamos!:yeah: azinna 06-02-2006, 11:42 PM Was there live for the match. For 2 sets Dima's forehand was world class, and his backhand return was giving David no where at all to serve. Didn't help that David couldn't seem to get his short-angle forehand to anything other than clip the tape or land just wide. Third set, David started to dig in, get the forehand angles working and to move Dima out of position. Then came these delicate drop-shot points, a few backhand winners, and voila: Dima was no longer secure enough in foooting (he actually fell twice) or positioning to tee off. That was pretty much the difference, folks. Much too little and too close for myself, the Argentinian crowd around me and Nalbdy fam, friends and team seated two rows away....... jazz_girl 06-03-2006, 12:38 AM What the hell hapenned here? Anway, congrats David on your 200th victory :yeah: | |
