Because you allways hope that a player like Kim has the day of his life and kicks Rafa's ass :)

harder than it looks but nadal is way out of kim's league..kim is able to stay with nadal in the rallies but ends up making errors....not a natural

Frederick16

nadal is far superior he plays a to fast tempo thats why he (Kevin) is making the errors every time

It looks like a boy vs a man, and the boy is not Nadal. I don't think I've ever seen such heavy groundstrokes.

there are people who hit harder then him. but its the combination of big hitting and very very very fast feet!

Yeah, we're lucky he's blogging. But it's a long wait. ;)

It wasn't exactly an error-free performance from Rafa. In fact his BP conversion % was disappointing (5 out of 15).

Faster (sheer speed) yes. Heavier (combination speed and spin) with consistency probably no. He rarely unleashes all his power and mainly hits with great control, but when he goes for a winner he is way up there.

It was not as bad as I thought it would be to be honest. Nadal didn't play all that well, but he knows he didn't have to. They played for almost 2 hours as Kim hung around in a lot of games instead of going down at love or 15 all the time.

This reminds me the comment Richard Gasquet made last year when he and Nadal were the new youngster kiddies at the French Open last year, but Richard walked away from that feeling [I'm paraphrasing here] like a 12 year old junior player and Nadal was a seasoned player who looked 28.

Nothing serious. Rafa said some tape had to be fixed is all.
