Should be a good match. :)
Alberto Martin vs. Olivier Rochus - who will win?KarstenBraasch#1 06-01-2006, 11:44 AM Should be a good match. :) admiralpye 06-01-2006, 02:33 PM I want it to be Rochus, but probably will be Martin. Pluto2 06-01-2006, 02:38 PM Martin isn't playing sooo well (ok he won against roddick), that's why Olli will win. He's playing extremely well, probably his best tennis ever. And that's quite remarkable, I already said that several times in his career. Allez-H˛ 06-01-2006, 02:41 PM Haven't seen Martin play but Ollie was on fire in both of his matches, hope he can keep it up and beat Martin. This could be an excellent occasion for him to go deep this year. Fumus 06-01-2006, 02:53 PM They are both about the same height. jayrhum 06-01-2006, 05:45 PM They are both about the same height. A small man will win then. :) Rochosorus Rex. Hagar 06-01-2006, 07:15 PM Rochosorus Rex. LOL! :D DrJules 06-01-2006, 07:15 PM Rochus to win. GonzoFan 06-01-2006, 07:21 PM I hope Rochus wins :) Aguante_el_Gato 06-01-2006, 07:26 PM Rochus, Olivier 0-4 Martin, Alberto 5'5'' (165 cm) - 5'9'' (175 cm) 130 lbs (59 kg) - 162 lbs (73 kg) 2003 Umag, Clay, R32 Croatia Clay R32 Martin 6-3 6-2 2003 Monte Carlo TMS, Clay, R64 Monaco Clay R64 Martin 6-3 3-6 6-2 2002 Barcelona, Clay, R32 Spain Clay R32 Martin 7-5 5-7 6-4 2001 Australian Open, Hard, R128 Australia Hard R128 Martin 6-3 6-4 6-0 scoobs 06-01-2006, 08:07 PM Martin has the record but Rochus has the better form. But Rochus has never really impressed in the slams, either and he has a great chance for a R16 or even QF if he does well, and he probably knows it. I find it tough to call though I think Rochus should come through. jole 06-01-2006, 08:16 PM Interesting match. Both guys are roadrunners with one-handers. Both have also had some very quick matches. The previous matches have all gone to Beto, so Oli would be due. Plus, compared to when they played before, Oli is playing some of the best tennis of his life in the last year or so. NyGeL 06-01-2006, 08:53 PM it will be a though match, but I think Olivier is a better tennis player :) Matthias13 06-01-2006, 09:19 PM Having seen Ollie play against Faurel and Vanek there can be no doubt about it: Olivier will win !!! :D I have to agree; these opponents weren't the world's greatest players. So Martin defeated Roddick; but you have to admit that A-Rod was injured and doesn't like clay. And Kindlmann: who is that guy ? :) So I'm guessing: Ollie in 4 sets. COME ON BELGIANS !!! :worship: ufokart 06-01-2006, 09:24 PM I strongly believe Rochus will win in 4. Conita 06-01-2006, 11:00 PM i want Ollie to win! :) met both of them last year and they were very nice but i just adore Ollie so i hope he wins :) NYCtennisfan 06-02-2006, 12:03 AM I want Ollie to win this homuncular (by modern day ATP tour standards) affair. Fergie 06-02-2006, 12:38 AM I want Ollie to win ... But maybe Beto will win Santorofan 06-02-2006, 05:02 AM Olly Rochus is due for a Grand Slam breakthrough, proving that he's more than just an interesting ATP novelty but a world class player in his own right. Rochus in three  Aguante_el_Gato 06-02-2006, 11:52 AM it will be a though match, but I think Olivier is a better tennis player :)it will be a though match, but I think Beto is a better clay tennis player :p Beto in 4 Aguante_el_Gato 06-03-2006, 12:40 PM Vamos Beto. He takes first set 7-5 KarstenBraasch#1 06-03-2006, 03:17 PM As I predicted. | |
