So it's the battle of the Former French Open Champs. Both are struggling a bit...ok(a lot) this season but they meet Friday third round.
Who do you think can win it??
Maybe Espn will actually show it.

Gaudio to win, but only because not impressed with form of JCF. Gaudio struggled today more than expected.

i guess the fact they are both struggling will do for an equal contest and i hope it will be equally good. atleast they have the capacity to do it. who will win is a mystery but i'd say gaston if he can control his emotions, if not then juan carlos. sad thing is that the winner probly have to lose to davydenko, now that sucks. :(

I love these guys. Atleast one of them has to go through. I think it might be JCF.

Gaudio if he has something, even very small, between his ears

I love both of them. But I'm a bigger Juan Carlos Ferrero fan than Gaudio. It'll be closely contested as both are not in any good form coming into the French.

I'm not particularly impressed with both of them but I really want to see Carlos Ferrero gaining confidence and exude that on the court and start being a contender in matches he plays. My heart says Juan Carlos but my mind says 50-50.

Ferrero 0-6, 2-6, 6-0, 7-6(0), 0-5(0-40*) - Gaudio retired due to not caring

These are two of my favorites players so i'll be very sad to watch one of them lose

Last time they met was in last year's Barcelona and i seem to remember it was a nice match, but nowadays both are in a not so nice slump in their careers (well, Ferrero has been in a constant slump since 2003 :o ). It's hard to predict and i don't really expect a good match, but i hope i'm wrong.

Anyways, Ferrero in 5

Whoever wins I'll be fine. But the more likely winner of this match would be JC, Gaston is feeling a bit negative this days.

Good Luck

Ferrero of course, but I'll be disappointed if Gaudio loses too because I quite like Gaudio as well.

Will be half the match quality-wise that most of you are anticipating. It might be tense and close however, but really is impossible to call given the two guys involved.

How is Gaudio the favourite?

Ferrero leads 5-2 on clay. Both of Gastóns wins have been in straight sets, 4 of Ferrero's wins went the whole distance, 3 and 5 sets (at RG 2002). The only spanking for Gastón was the infamous DC match in Malaga 2003.

I think even though Gaston has not had a vintage clay season, it's still been better then JC's sadly. He made a couple of SFs at least. Plus he's ranked higher at the moment for a reason and the majority of the MTF consensus say JC is a shadow of himself/got no desire/not a clay court force nowadays (delete as applicable. Or agree with all 3 ;)). I hope JC wins of course. I think he can. I wouldn't be shocked though if Gaston suddenly has an on day and that's that. They're both pretty unpredictable these days.

Vamos JC. Please!

Ferrero will win this is in straight sets. Come on has Ferrero lost to some of the fools Gaudio has lost to this season.

Basically Ferrero's crap will better than Gaudio's crap.

ESPN isn't showing it, either. In fact, they are doing everything they can not to show it. Including fluff pieces on Blake  Like we haven't seen those 23523523425 times.

Eurosport

After the Hingis match, they show the end of the 1st set. But now they say they want to show the Nadal match. They always have excuses to show other matches.

Why are they so determined to not show this match? It's the best match of the 2nd round for f***'s sake.

Gaudio fans don't have to worry. After going 5-3 up, JC has kindly handed 5 games in a row to Gaudio.

It's amazing how many times JC has done this. He ALWAYS plays his worst tennis towards the end of a set.

I wish that was true today  but they both weren't crap in what I saw. They both played pretty well. And Gaudio's pretty well bettered Ferrero's pretty well ;)
