I know this might be a surprise for most of you but I knew Dlouhy has a decent chance as he's a good player on clay. Acasuso is one of the most overrated players on tour (I know bad gambler is a big fan of his ;) ) and a headcase in big tournaments.

Sorry but I dont agree with Bilbo at this point.. where he says Dlouhy is a good clay court player. He's not.. this season he lost almost everything what he could on clay so it is big surprise for me that Acasuso didn't manage to beat him today. I think there had to be something else that he lost. And it will be hard for good info to know what happend there, cuz this match was played on court no. 16 if i good remember.

I remember last years match against Safin. It was a good performance by Dlouhy. Big serve and forehand. Acasuso was a good match-up for Dlouhy.

Acapulco is a small tournament. Anyway, I read a lot about Acasuso wins this Acasuso wins that and every time he crumbles in big matches. This is overrated to me.

a bit pathetic from Acasuso that he can not play one long match and after one day rest in round 2 he already is tired and loses to that challenger player. He was too quick satisfied and thinks "cool, I won this very good long match" and did not give effort and was not so fresh.

Congrats Dlouhy, Chucho should have won this but didn't, now back to George's thread of frustrating players.

Chucho is going to win RG...lol

Chucho can't win a match when he loses the first set or loses two sets. ;)

As much as I like the guy, I have to agree with you. He's got a very nice game, but he's too unstable to be a contender for any major at the moment, and still hasn't achieved enough to justify the hype that surrounds him.

I watched part of this match at RG today. Actually just got back from my 4.5 hour drive from Paris. Acasuso looked uncomfortable from the very beginning of this match. He was complaining about the crowd being to noisy and people walking in and out. So obviously he wasn't 100% in the match. He did eventually play a good first set and a decent first 4 games in the second. Dlouhy played okay but not fantastic. I left after the first few games in the third set and by than Acasuso had started losing the match. I don't know if Dlouhy played amazing after I left but he certainly didn't before I left.

I hoped Acasuso could pull himself together but ......

Horrible match from Acasuso.

This might still be his best year of his career so far, but this only shows the mental instability of this guy. When he loses like this it's not like he tried but he had a bad day or bad luck...it almost seems that he doesn't even try

Frustrating guy to say the least :banghead: . I hope he can come back strong in the clay tournies of the second half of the year

Chucho thought he had this match won already a set and 2 breaks up and thought about the next round and he got punished for that. He is frustrating for sure, but Dlouhy isn't that good on clay, but he can have his moments. It seems losing to Gimelstob on clay has helped him.

If anyone took the Acasuso winning RG thread seriously, then delusional is the nicest thing that could be said.

Yeah, he should totally do that! Hopefully he doesn't forget to mention that Acasuso is Argentinian!

he won the last 2 sets pretty quick
I thought Acasuso would pull thru this one

he might be a little underrated
but when his opportunity rises he doesnt come thru
this was a good match for him to get thru

Acasuso lost this one, from 6-4 *5-2 30-0, he switched off and it all went downhill.

The fact that Dlouhy was his opponent is irrelevant, it may as well have been Xristos.
