Every tennis match should be indoors!

Let's face it. Rain ruins tennis. Kiefer was destroying Gicquel until the rain comes and takes away the match from the german. Wind makes players make mistakes and takes away public. Tell one positive thing about outdoor matches and I maybe I can change my opinion again.

But for now rain ruined my day...

All in all, the tour has been really lucky since last Wimbledon where very few tournaments have had major rain delays. It's been a good run so it was bound to end sooner or later. The good thing is that forecasts call for clear skies and nice sunny weather for almost the rest of the tournament.

Here sucks now, i'm tired waiting on and off Fed v Falla. I hope nothing more same condition in final match, it'll be anti-climax.
Add the roofs for that courts!!!

What a dreary idea - it would take an awful lot of the variety out of the game at a stroke.

Not to mention the psychological aspect of how players handle rain delays.

No thanks. The odd rain delay is annoying but the alternative is tedious in the extreme.

Lawn Tennis should be played indoors, but for a change Table Tennis should be played outdoors. It takes less time to dry the table than the court. What do you think? :p

Even though I´ve been plagued by rain several times in my tennis-watcher career (and my last tourney was the ARAG WTC a week ago!!!), tennis is a sport which is played outside as often as possible.

Wind, drizzle, rain storm, thunder storms, bee attacks...in my opinion tennis is not just about two persons and a ball but also about how the two persons handle the external conditions.

Personally I prefer playing indoors too but that´s just because I love carpet.

It's harder to get a sun tan playing or watching indoors.

No, keep it outdoor. Rain break is interesting. Lots of people thank rain break the win and lots of matches turned after rain break and has make things interesting! ;)

One of the challenges for players is how they respond to the elements.

One of the nicer things about is, that onder to win a Grand Slam like this one now you have to master different conditions.

I love how Kiefer/Gicquel was the basis of this thread, and not something like Roddick/Federer at Wimby 2004 or something.

Awesome.

No way! If it wasn't for the rain, Ivanisevic would never have won his Wimbledon. For that alone, i give thanks to the rain.

If it wasn't for the rain Tommy Haas would be 2002 Aus Open champion.
