Well, you aren't as passionate as us British
I can safely say if this match was in England the crowd would be packed. Where is everyone on centre court?? Still lunching???

Wouldn't make much difference really - Murray doesn't care too much for lack of support I don't think

You expect them to get into a match like that?

I agree the French crowd seems quite poor. Even in Italy nowadays they are there supporting and we dont have many good players. A country like France with many talented guys and no one is even supporting Monfils, indeed a minute ago thye were booing him... so oh well. The reason I love going to Wimbledon is because the crowd is so biased its unbelievable yet they dont know much about tennis :)

Errrr... it isn't the best of mathces, but I am sure it would be a crowd filler over here. ;)
We aren't fickle with our support.

:haha: usually when a Frenchman plays it's always pandemonium... but Gael is just :retard: right now

There are six French players on six different courts right now.

Yeah... but I think the guy needs some encouragement, he is quite talented.
The empty seats on centre court in his country are not going to boost his confidence much. :)

On the BBC website (game by game commentary), they seem to indicate that the crowd is very quiet because they don't know what to make of this match.

They are watching Mathieu ;)

 and deserved so this time when Monfils acts like an idiot with the gestures to umpires and applauds them with sarcasm when they called a ball out that was out 2 meters

Lousy match and attitude from both players, why would anyone cheer either?
