That is sooooo totally cool Choupi! I'm so excited for you. I hope you get to see and talk to Fab....and get some great pictures! I hope you get to see your other favs too, of course....I know with only being there one day it would probably be impossible to see everyone you want to see..., but I hope you get to see the players you want to see the most anyway! I'll be thinking about you, and sending you all my good thoughts for luck on seeing your favorite players! ;)

This is Manja from Germany. Je suis un grande fan de Fabrice Santoro! I hope this is right?

If you are interested I could post some pix from Monte Carlo and Hamburg. Just let me know...
I red that you are going to the French Open and I wish you all tons of fun!
In 2 1/2 weeks I will see him again in Halle. Anybody else?

Did you know that Fabrice has a new physio? I met him in Hamburg. If anybody knows his name...please let me know...

Even though you won't be able to tell us how it's going for you "live" from the Gerry Weber Open, you can still tell us how it went after you get back home! ;)

I'll go ahead and answer since I seem to have seen your post first, and then of course the other girls can add what they want also...Mae and I are from the USA and Choupi is from France.

You were right on this one. That had to happen, one day or the other. But I wish it'd have in another circumstances than a GS. Anyway, with all the objectivity I can gather, I don't really see how Fab could get away with it, easily.

Manja, I'm French. :)

I'm very proud of Fab-win or lose :) Because when I saw the draw I wasn't very happy about it at all  So I think he has done a good job no matter how the Match ends up :)

Choupi
05-29-2006, 12:36 PM
Well, from yesterday's match, I've only seen the 1st set where Chucho totally outplayed Fab. The strokes were too powerfull and Fab was easily far from the ball. And the 5th set, before they stopped because of the darkness. That was another match. Fab's usual tricks had been rewarded. Chucho got frustrated. But he's 2/4. Grosjean's match is over, and Fab should come on the Chatrier in a few minutes now. No matter what the result will be, I'll be proud. :)

Manja
05-29-2006, 01:23 PM
OMG!!!
I am dying... It´s 6/6 in the fifth set.

Go Fabrice!!! :woohoo:

Choupi
05-29-2006, 02:12 PM
It's over. Fab lost 9/11 in the 5th set. But he's played great, pushed Chucho all the way and used all his usual tricks. It's been tense and very beautiful to watch. Fab really has been battling Fab today. We were shown images from the lockers, while Fab & Chucho were playing, and almost all players present there at that time were stuck in front of tv, watching that end of match.

Fab's been interviewed right at the end. He seemed exhausted, and a little bit disappointed. He said himself this match has been lost on 2 or 3 points only. When said that he seemed to be willing to play tennis forever, and that he surely would still be playing when 60 years old, he smiled and simply answered: " you say so now, but let me tell you that you were not in my body this morning, when the alarmclock rang"...

16681
05-29-2006, 11:47 PM
Choupi I loved that quote from Fab about the guy not being in his body
 Fab keeps his sense of humor. And as I said I'm very proud of him :)
Yes I'm sorry he lost  but I appreciated the fight he put up.

Oh how I wish Fab would have won that match! But of course I want Fab to win ALL the matches he plays, and that is impossible... I too am proud of how well he did! :)

It's so cool to have you keep us updated Choupi! :) Thank you for doing so. The only thing that would be better is to have been able to see it myself. That was a great quote by Fab, he's so totally cool!

We don't expect him to play until he's 60, but 3 or 4 more years would be great! ;)

05-30-2006, 11:53 PM
Well Martina N. is still playing Doubles in her 40's. In fact, if I'm not mistaken she is closer to 50 than she is to 40  So Fab could probably play Doubles for some years to come :) And Fabrice Fan is right Choupi we are lucky that we have you to report to us. I think I finally know Pinky is not reporting  :rolls:  I can't help it. I'm in love with Pinky (and I'm not a cat person so this is high praise for Pinky). She is just so beautiful. And how in the world did you ever get her to pose for the picture that is now your Avatar?
