I'm going to jinx the hell outta Nadal since he's still playing Monfils but:

Estimated Odds:

Nadal 1.80
Federer 2.15

I think fed will eventually beat nadal on clay.. but when is the question!!!

Ays you are much closer. I reckon more like 1.4

Federer has struggled in his last 2 matches and Nadal has cruised. Nadal also owns Federer on clay.

I think Nadal in 3/4 sets.

Looks like the books finally wised up after that ridiculous Nadal underdog line last time they met, now I think they are overvaluing Nadal but its hard to bet against the clay juggernaut.

I agree. But now when the bookies are offering huge odds for Roger, I just have to take it and hope for the best.
I really think that those kind of odds for Federer are really great value.
IMO Roger has a very good chance to beat Rafael especially tomorrow. It wasn`t so clear win for Nadal last time either.
Rafael will tie the record with Vilas if he`ll win, but I`m sure that it (the record) will put some extra pressure for him.

And Roger really wants to stop his streak finally and show that Nadal can be beaten on clay!

So, let`s go Federer! :yeah:

Seriously doubt it, Federer is dropping sets left, right and centre here and Nadal is the best player in the World on clay. That being said, I think Federer will take a set of him so 3-1 to Nadal at 11/4 is not a bad bet, going big style on Nadal myself at 1.47 with betfair.

Federer seemed to have finished his "Swan Lake" on the clay court all together. He couldn't keep his beautiful form on the clay. On the other hand, Nadal looks like fish in the water. I will bet on Nadal this time. (I will see you at the hard court, Roger.)

Nadal to the bank for me, as for the women's side, Stosur has been very impressive and I think she has value at 2.30 over Peer. Anybody know why Petrova is at 4.75 against JHH? I know JHH dominated on clay last year, but this year she hasn't been as good while Petrova is arguably the hottest WTA player.

Must admit .. $1.48 has never looked as big as it does for this particular play .. find it difficult to understand why the bookies have 'opened the door' for Nadal backers .. ?

Hell no....

Fed dodged 2 Silver bullets already this week.......Could've lost to Almagro and should've lost to Nalbo today(Nalbo was up 2*-0 in 3rd set and also up 2-0 before Roger came back to tie it in the 3rd set TB)......Fed got broken 2 straight times in 1st set.....If that was Nadal, he would've lost that set 6-2 or 6-1....anywayz ladies, it's yo money....use em wisely....

Let's go Nadal.

prob due to her desimal performance against momo....she destroyed momo, plus her h2h against petrova is unreal.....something like 7-1 or something.....

Books got the odds all wrong, again!..

Theres a reason Fed is #1 player in the worlde.. sure nadal is dominate on clay, but this is tennis we know the seperation between these two can't be that much on clay. After losing to Nadal 3 times in a row, I think Fed and Tony Roche will come up with a game plan that will work this time.

I'm just gonna enjoy the match as I feel this is 60/40 for Nadal/Fed chances.

Petrova the hottest clay player ? Please don't fall into that trap. She'll get her ass kicked, just like she did last year in Berlin, and a couple of weeks ago in DC. No revenge. She'll never be able to compete with the top dogs.

Only players that she can beat in the top 10 are Schnyder and robotic blonde Dementieva.

your theory lacks in many ways....

h2h don't mean anything....you gotta look at current season's form....

For an instance, if your theory "was" correct or somewhat valid then, explain why Nadia has 4 titles this yr and JHH only has 2.......

Past is Past, what matters the most for these players is what lies ahead and confidence they are gaining from each tourney as the season progresses.

BTW, JHH isn't the most reliable player to back now days....she crushes Patty in 1st set and they gets rocked in next 2 sets....Same scenario today.....She was playing well in 1st and when Nadia cuts down on her unforced errors and raised her level of playing, she wasn't up to parr.....

Give Nadia prop for her 4th title of the yr. She might be a true contender to win French this yr.

Learn something about women's tennis? Hahaha, you putz, you need to get off your high horse. I felt you were attacking my analysis of Petrova being one of the hottest players on the WTA, so yes, I am rubbing your nose in it because your analysis was completely flawed. H2H means something, but current form means more. At one point, Nalbandian lead Federer H2H 5-0, now they are 6-5, but just looking at H2H, you would think they are pretty even now. They aren't. One, you completely ignored Petrova's straight sets victory over Mauresmo in March by stating she can't ever compete with the "top dogs", wrong. Two, you said she would get her ass kicked like in the Fed Cup, wrong again, she lost a close 3 setter to JHH on clay. Petrova rode a 14 match winning streak on clay into the finals, you still wouldn't give her any credit. Your analysis was crap.

One - I think the numbers I gave you show just how much she can compete with the top players - GS winners, not players who win a couple of Tier II tournaments and people say they're hot.
Two - She has, and she WILL get owned by JHH, because she has no class. If she could have beaten the top players, she would have been no.1 a long time ago. She was on no streak of coming into the finals, her winning streak on clay was stopped by JHH after the 10th match. Was she not 'hot' then ?

Jez you're right, this is only one bet, but it's not common sense to jump on someone after a strange result like yesterday's finals.

Keep up the great work fellas, both Freeze n Olix do great work n know there stuff,of course there's going to be disagreements, part of the parcel!!!Btw was actually leaning on Petrova n still abit gutted not taking here, good call on that Freeze!!From my point of view i feel Petrova b4 is not the Petrova of now, she's has gone along way n feel se can match it with the big guns, confidence is always a key!!!She had a match with Sharapova in the Aust Open which she shoudve won but Princess tough mentaliity n grunting which shouwed sh was still about weak mentally,i feel she slowly comin off that, have been impressed with her n the way things are going she's definetely can make some more inroads!!!
