I think Stepanek over Lopez is a good pick.

Stepanek seems to play well here and Lopez has not won a match here. Lopez has no form, Stepanek's form is decent.

Also Stepanek owns Lopez with a 6-0 h2h.

Big play on Stepanek at good odds 1.48 (Betfair)

I agree with that but whenever I bet Henman matches I usually lose money one way or another so I'll stay away

Not really liking much on today's card either, and Prabu's title makes me :scared: ...a good day for lefties or the complete opposite?

I also like Grosjean over Nieminen @ 2.10 - but what of Grsjean's injuries?

Yeah I also like that but the similar match-up puts me off and the law of averages provides that Lopez will eventually win a match against Sexy...

I can't believe a thread is being dominated by Jim

I disagree with you there - how can you not rate him highly...especially on tennis terms where he picked out incredible winners. Not only did he know his stuff but he also knew when to bet and how to get the most out of it...an incredible punter. Yes he was a baffoon...but several of us can't talk about that either.

I like Jimbo's style of gambling, he's quite agressive. Although I was kind of disappointed when I noticed that he had deleted posts with picks that were eventually losers, to make it look like he had an almost perfect record. I've seen him doing it more than once.

No kidding. Ive seen him lose a lot of high stake picks that somehow disappeared from his record.. but as of current he is pretty careful with his picks.. Like I said, he only posts 1 pick every 2-3 weeks now.. He's last pick was Almagro over Ferrero which most people cashed in on here as well... (not counting the gambling contest they have goin on)

Pippo Volandri for me...

His match against Murray is scheduled on night session, that means the whole Foro Italico will be againt the scot...
This "home" advantage should give enough momentum to Pippo to dismiss Murray.
Volandri still has to show his true colors on european clay this year but what to say about Murray... no good, no good at all...

Gee I feel nasty for even suggesting it, but can poor old Thomas Johannson possibly hope to be so much as competitive in his comeback match today..? The eye injury he suffered sounds absolutely horrific and while he's obviously been cleared to return, the fact that his vision is quite diminished in one eye surely doesn't auger well for his chances of a first up victory ..

The bloke he's playing, while ranked over 200th in the world, has been playing since the start of the year, and while his form is far from spectacular (he did beat Portas and took Moya to three sets), the fact he's match-hardened gives him a definite edge ..

What do you guys think about this one..?

I think Fognini should take him out. He's 18 years old, a good prospect, will be playing at home and on his favourite surface. ToJo is coming back after 3 months on his least favourite surface, and as he admitted himself in the ATP blog, he's not totally recovered yet from the eye problem and will be a bit nervous tomorrow. Not to mention that these guys who are over thirty take more time than the average player to recover their level after taking breaks from the tour.

As to my bet for the day, I take Murray over Volandri, $2.85

Risky but we all saw what happened to another out of form Italian yesterday with Seppi, home crowd is not much of a factor and as long as Murray serves well he has a chance because i dont think he will be overly dominated in rally by Volandri
