Out of the 3 young Americans, who is the best prospect?

Roddick excluded cos he is already there. Who do you think will have the best career?

01-07-2004, 01:06 PM
don't care ;)

Fish is the higher ranked, better player right now, but something tells me Dent will have the better career

James Blake is better than all of them :p

Fish, he is the only new american player that makes me think, this guy was born to play tennis.

I think he is better than Blake or Dent.

Mardy  After the last TMS Cincinnati, I trusted more in him.

Ginepri? He sucks....I hate him.

I think of Blake as being a peer of these guys too.

Of those listed, I voted Mardy. But the others could grow into excellent players -- hard to predict with certainty.

TAYLOR!!!...Fish will be a top 10 player but not GS material...Taylor will have what it takes to go all the way if he sorts his body out. :)

It should be mandatory that all of the polls on this site have the "don't care and publicly demonstrating it" button.

Thanks for the option, mate!

Of those three, I chose Robby because I consider him the all-around better player BUT to see what my first and only choice would be you only need to see the first name in my sig line:Alex Bogomolov, Jr. :D ;)

Fish doesn't have the mindset right now to be the next "big American". I think he's still a little caught up in being in Roddick's shadow. Last year was a good year for him, but compared to Dent's season, Fish was secondary.

I think Dent has the potential to be the best prospect for the Americans. Last year, he beat some key players, and won several tournaments. He has what it takes to be great. I just fear that his talent will be overshadowed by the high-profile careers of his opponents.

And as for Ginepri, I think a lot of people forget about him, because he's not in the limelight as much. When he finally decides to commit to ATP pro tournaments, I think we'll see great things from him. He's still playing challengers (and winning them), so he kind of gives off the impression that he's not ready. Once he makes that jump, I see him being on the level of Dent and Blake.

I think Fish has the most complete game to do it. The mindset will come. Dent is great too but he's had too many injury problems. If he can put it together, he has already shown he can beat any player on any given day. I don't see Robby getting to the level of Fish or Dent though.... he's just sort of, blah... lol

Ginepri is hot! I wanna have his baby!

01-09-2004, 08:22 PM
Robby ;)
