That's really disappointing to see Mark already out in the 1st round... Is he still injured or something?

Got to be, if you're Philippoussis you don't lose 5 service games in a row unless there's something seriously wrong.

Well, Koubek is the defending champion of Doha, so maybe he is making it a habit of playing above his normal level at the beginning of the year!

He has a lot of points to defend there.

I'm sure Mark can still feel positively about Australia. But he probably would have liked more match play this week.

As I said in the scoring thread, I'm pulling for that Koubek-Henman final with Tim making it third time lucky in Doha finals... but that's a long way off.

Oh, I like Flipper (that's my pet name for him, btw; it's not meant as an insult!). I'm not rooting "against" anybody (unlike others), I just feel that there are bigger dangers lurking around the corner for my favorite. ;)

And I'm not nearly as happy about him losing as the AR-bashers are angry about Andy winning (see the Qatar thread for examples). :angel:
