This is a cheering thread for all the latin players: Argentines, Chileans, Brazilians, Ecuadorians, etc.

I hope they can get a good and accesible draw. :)

Most of these players are good enough that they don´t really need a good draw to do well there :)

01-10-2004, 12:26 PM

which means Paradorn gets 12 seed and plays a 5-8 ranked player in the 4th round

Too bad Coria has withdrawn....

Are u been sarcastic? :(

I don't wanna "discuss" again with you, but if you really said it in that tone, just go away from here, and leave the "latinos" alone, and go to support your Paradorn at another forum. :(

How dare you accuse me of being sarcastic. I dont want to sound all mellowed out by saying im sad or anything of the sort. You should die and be banned from the sport of tennis.

I'm quite sure that Paradorn would not approve of your comments here and elsewhere. If you want to be an ambassador for this wonderful person/player and for Asians in tennis, you are going about it it the wrong way.

I sense a conspiracy. I was not being sarcastic. And if you guys can't get that through your heads, then this forum should be no place for you guys. Your comments have been the utmost ludicrous. I am not trying to be an ambassador for Paradorn, and neither are you trying to culture us in Southern American players. So if you want to keep bugging me, go for it. I just wouldn't know what you're trying to accomplish here.

01-14-2004, 03:39 AM
It is incendiary and inappropriate to post comments such as "you should die and be banned form the sport of tennis," or "you guys are all racist people" or "so many latinos on this forum." If you can't see that, then you will not understand what I'm "trying to accomplish here." So I will stop "bugging you" --- you can continue to go about your business as before.

On the Australian Open site, I've been listening to and/or reading
the post-match interviews for several main players.

The only players I've come across with no interviews listed were Philippoussis and Coria.
However, I certainly believe Philippoussis would do his interviews.
But is it possible that Coria refused to do his interview because
of his frustration and disgust with his own match play?
I've heard that skipping an interview at such a big tournament
gets a fine of at least 10,000 U.S. dollars.

Devotee: I don't know about the english normal interview of the tournament, I never saw Coria's one either; but I DID see him talking in Spanish calmly with argentine journalists for ESPN Latin America and Fox Sports Latin America too.
