Mirnyi v Karlovic - an example of clay court skills at their best :haha: :haha:

Stand out winners for me:

Simon over Hernych @ 1.36
Verdasco over Vik @ 1.25

Probably just a double including those 2, @ 1.70

Will analyse some higher odd matches later on tonight.

Yoel and co.

I think Vik won't be a pushover (is that the right word?). True, he is no clay court player but has improved this year on all surfaces.

Is the Beast a favourite? I think so.

Martin 2-0 x Calleri 2-0 x Mayer 2-0 = 2.40

Also the beast over Karlovic and Hernandez over Portas....singles.

Mirnyi over Karlovic @1.63

Mirnyi won a doubles title in Monte Carlo and reached quarter-finals in Barcelona last year. Karlovic hasn't won a match in clay in over 2 years.

Starace over Dlouhy x Volandri over Stoppini @1.60

Starace beated Dlouhy in straight sets in Valencia two weeks ago and Volandri is so much than better than Stoppini in everything...

No lines for me yet, but Montanes, Almagro, Behrend and Gabashvili all look promising.

Elaborating on the above...

I consider Verdasco, Patience, Calleri and Starace as winners tomorrow...forget Simon

A little bit worried about Starace...as Sylvester says, he won their last encounter a couple of weeks ago...but re-matches often go the other way.

Gimelstob is a clown on clay. Its the first time in ages that he has even bothered to play in a European clay court event.

I think Calleri will kill him. I can't do the number of games won on the betting site I use but I would like to go for Gimelstob winning less than 5 or 6 games.

Best bet of the Day is Nico Almagro 1.48over Monfils, although the odds are shot i feel this one is a banker!!Especially if Gael still has problems with injuries??Even with that said Almagro is playin at a high level of tennis lately n hopefully he will continue that form!!!

30 units on Max Mirnyi 1.58/ Nico Almagro 1.48 @ 2.34 over Ivo Karlovic/Gael Monfils -Feel both players have the upper hand n should get over the line!!!

20 units on Oscar Hernandez 1.85 over Albert Portas - Taking the younger man over the veteran!!!

Good luck- Lean on Behrend 2.20 over C Rochus!!!!

Oh man are u serious geez, pound that cookie like no 2morro imo!!Verdasco should win in 2 and the odds of 1.20 is the reason!!Get on n dont miss out champ, the guy is playing ok atm but whats more important its in Barcelona which the Spainish home crowd will go ballistic, not that he will need it!!Verdy should take out Vik comfortably imo!!!

How hard should you pound it ????Pound it all the way to the Bank,no recipepts no bloody worries!!!30 per cent of your bank i feel is about right, usually u dont want to put all your money on one cookie!!!Hope you end up getting away with it if Verdy comes up trumps, which he should!!!!!

Don't do it. If it wins, they'll call palpable error and return your stake. If it loses, they keep your money.

Montanes game was a rollercoaster, he had a break in the second, then was broken twice for the set. Berdych got a break early in the 3rd, which Montanes then got back, then Montanes broke again, served for the set and got broken, and then got broken, giving Berdych the match.

What a headcase...

I feel for Mirnyi backers, but whilst I'm a little surprised he lost, it doesn't shock me. One of my betting rules these days - never back against Ivo when he plays an equally useless opponent with the same style. Nevertheless, I was VERY close to betting on Mirnyi so...phew.

Had a feeling Almagro would lose as my leans on Portas, Gicquel and Starace came through easily...normally a bad omen when that happens

Just need Ferrer to win...can't lose on that match. If Ferrer wins, money in the bank. If he loses, a Brit wins. Can't get better than that

Here's the e-mail I received this morning. I will say it was before the match had started, which at least shows honesty from them.

This is to inform you that the Verdasco/Vik line was loaded as +260
Verdasco/-370 Vik instead of the intended -370 Verdasco/+260 Vik. WSEX
regrets to inform you that in cases of obvious and extreme typographical
error, all bets are simply refunded. It is important to note that your
bet will be refunded regardless of the outcome of the match, so there is
no case in which WSEX would wait until after the match and decide whether
to keep the bet based on the outcome.

Exactly, even the top guns wouldve had trouble!!May the Russian is abit worried in the back ground of his next match,he will need as much Vodka as he needs, although Davy is a good mover n returner!!Just isnt himself of late and cannot see him get out of it against a giant killing server which you will hardly get to warm up or get into the match!!!
