This is the next Tournament that I found Santoro's name in the entry list. So I thought I would go ahead and start the thread.

I have no idea? I was thinking his name was on the list to play Rome. Either I am wrong about the list or he has changed his plans  :banghead: No what am I thinking about? Rome is before Hamburg and I was looking for Fab on the Rome list, but couldn't find his name. So I went to the Hamburg list and found his name there

Uh... So no Santoro, no Clement and no Gasquet (still injured  ) in Rome...
Maybe the French players have a problem with the Italian organisators of this tournament

Thanks silverwhite for Fab's Draw. I don't know much about Phau, but he has done some winning of Matches at some Tournaments because I remember the name. I was somewhat surprised with that name that he is from Germany. But I'm sure that their are all sorts of people that were born in the U.S. and just to see or hear their names the U.S. wouldn't be the country that would come to mind.

Fab is last match on Center Court tomorrow. That helps to play a German player. :) Allez Fab!!! :bounce:

Yes I have noticed for some reason the German players don't do well against the French players. That's interesting. Are the French players that much better? Or do the Germans feel they just can't beat them?
Or maybe a combination of both

Well Fab is up in the 1st Set 5-2. Allez Fabrice :)

Well Mae, I was only referring to the fact that Fab was scheduled on the Center Court. That surely helps a lot to play a German player in Hamburg for that. :)

Allez Fab!!!!! :bounce:

Well Phau must not have gotten the word that German players have trouble defeating French players because he leds 4-2 in the 3rd Set :(

16681
05-15-2006, 09:46 PM
5-2 in the 3rd with Phau serving for the set and the Match :(

5-3 in the 3rd Set with Fab serving so he is trying to make a comeback :)

Well I think Fab lost the 3rd Set 6-4. Phau was serving and the scoreboard was showing Ad for Phau for some time. So I hit Refresh and when the scoreboard came back up it said "No Match In Progress":(

05-15-2006, 10:12 PM
Yes as reported earlier Phau defeated Fab 3-6, 6-1, and 6-4 :( Fab tried hard in that 3rd Set, but I don't know what happened in the 2nd Set

No Mae. No tv coverage for me. Just that scoreboard, sucking most of the time!! :o And now Fab has lost. Well, this is a bad day, definitely, after Marcos retired because he is sick, that's too much for me right now.

I know it is really  My favorites are dropping out of Hamburg quicker than they did Rome and I hadn't thought that was possible  And of course Nadal pulled out like Roger did after their tough Match in Rome.
So this isn't such a great time  You wait for a Tournament and in one Round players you wanted to see win don't and then the waiting starts all over again

I couldn't agree more Mae! It seems like I wait forever for a tournament to begin that Fab is going to be in....and then he's out right away....at least it seems to have been that way lately anyway...I sure hope he's around for awhile in doubles in Hamburg! :)

Well so far your wish has been granted. Fab and his partner Zimonjic defeated Fyrstenburg/Matkowski. They have defeated that same team in other Tournaments. Sorry for some reason I forgot to write down the score, but I don't guess it matters--they won :D

I suppose that Federer must be asking himself the same questions concerning Nadal on clay? ;) No offense meant at all towards both players of course. :)

Seriously, I hope that Fab & Nenad don't worry too much about that. They have to play their game, and try to adapt better each time they play that pair. Eventually one day, it'll be :yeah: Let's be confident.

Yes  I was too scared to look at the score until now :scared: And much to my delight when I saw the score it was Santoro/Zimonjic defeated Bjorkman/Mirnyi 6-4 and 7-5 :yippee: I guess maybe they had played them so much by now Santoro and his partner had finally figured out a way to defeat them  And now for the Semis--Allez :woohoo:
