is Tunica near ST.LOUIS?..No, Mississippi is not really that close to St. Louis. Several hundred miles or so. I think Tunica is pretty close to Memphis, Tennessee, because that city's major newspaper always covers this event.

NO, its way down south, closer to New Orleans and memphis like someone said, it is also the poorest state in the USA, so it must be a P.O.S. place.

Hmm I wonder if Mardy may pull out and try for some other tournament... like..... which one? I don't know of any other tourneys he could play this week? he has to play Tunica to try to make the cut for Wimbledon which ends that week. His site says he's playing, so I think he will be there.NO, its way down south, closer to New Orleans and memphis like someone said, it is also the poorest state in the USA, so it must be a P.O.S. place.I don't think that's true. I've been through Mississippi before and found it to be a nice place actually, the people are really nice and welcoming. Sure it's poor, but that doesn't mean it's a bad place.

If Mardy pulls out of this tournament he's not allowed to play anywhere else that week. ATP rules state that once you enter a Challenger, you play it or you stay home that week.
Mississippi is one of the poorest states in the US, but Tunica is a gambling town, 45 minutes away from Memphis. The players that I have spoken to about this tournament (about 4 of them) didn't seem to mind playing there last year. They all said the club and the courts are pretty nice.

You've also got Memphis in May going on then, so some of the players may show up :silly: , especially if they have an early match the next day.

It is next to Memphis. Mississippi may be poor but Tunica is the gambling area and has an awful lot of cascinos which bring a lot of revenue to the area. Tunica itself is very nice but surrounding areas are not as nice.
I should be going to this one, but did not see any players I follow.

I would have suggested players! The only ones I support here are:
OKUN, Noam ISR
HEALEY, Nathan AUS
(4)PLESS, Kristian DEN
But... Noam and Kristian would probably lose quickly (though they seem to be lovely!) and Nathan (although he can really WEAR the sleeveless) is a psycho on court some times.

Alun must not be as crap as you guys thing in thy\e past month he has been very consistant in the Challengers winning atleast the first round everytime and with the french open up soon im sure he has extra motivation to get his ranking up and maybe even get into the davis cup team this 6-2 6-2 win shows that he has the will power and will hopefully make top 150 before wimbledon hes shows he can be consistant

I wish him luck, but lets be frank he really isn't all that great. Maybe he'll prove me wrong, but beating Mello 2 and 2 currently only means so much.
His backhand is incredibly attackable, and his serve is very mediocre for a professional player.
