Simon to beat Almagro @ 2.81 (pinny)

Almagro is mentally unstable and may not be able to cope well with the pressure of being the favourite in his first ever ATP final, on home soil. Simon is the dog, that will help him to stay cool and play his best.

Small wager.

Schnyder over Petrova @2.720

I wanted to hit Schnyder over Henin but just couldn't pull the trigger because Henin was the reigning FO champ... Well I shoulda listen to my gut and went with it. Schnyder's best surface is by far the clay and that really says a lot because we all know these WTA girls don't really care much about surfaces; they play just about the same on anything. H2H Patty is 5-2 or 5-3.. something like that.. Petrova is having a great year but shes a choker, and Patty has beaten her enough. Edge goes to Patty for the good odds.

8-2 WTD, GL.

Almagro over Simon @1.495

Both players have performed extremely well the entire week. I favored Simon on every match except against Vik where I got burned. Had strong leans on him over Verdasco and Seppi but couldn't pull the trigger. Well I must say Simon has had a much easier ride to the finals. Almagro had to take care of some big time clay kings in Ferrero, Safin, and Volandri. Almagro has finally stepped it up to his potential and hasn't shown much of the inconsistencies his had in the past.

I think Simons run ends here and the odds are just high enough to take, though it is still a little low. Oh well lets see what what happens.

8-2 WTD, GL.

 Twisty's comments about Simon. I felt the opposite...doubted Simon virtually all week but I was able to watch his SF against Verdasco and he played well. I wanted to doubt him again today but really couldn't pull the trigger on it.

I'm somewhat worried about the Houston final. Fish has effectively had 3 lives:

1. Got a W/O from Schuettler - the German's game could have caused him absolute hell.
2. Survived Spadea - Rapper served for the match.
3. Haas retirement in SF.

Watched Wimbledon last night and similar thing happened to the rubbish Pom - got a gift into the final and won :haha: :haha:

On a serious note, Fish struggles against lefties, has a poor record on clay...Melzer's best chance for a first title in a while. I'd favour the Austrian, but I'm staying away. Enjoy!

Schnyder over Petrova @2.720

Loses.

I thought Schnyder had it going into the 3rd set because Petrova look so out of it but Schynder gave away the set with tons of UEs.

9-3 WTD.

Monte Carlo to come :)
