I am well aware of how good the guy can be but am also aware that he really struggles to maintain his play over the course of even a three set match. His forehand, when firing, is obscenely good but when you're supporting him you can't help but feel nervous that his game is just going to sudden crumble from all around him. He should beat Potito Starace nine times out of ten but you just don't know which verdasco is going to turn up do you?

yeah thats exactly how it is and thats why i took starace ..odds were way too high and even verdasco is the more talented and better player ..i felt like starace has more than 50 50 chance to beat him

Maybe Verdasco will find a bit more consistency in the coming years? Certainly if he does he can be a force on all surfaces.....
