Three of them really got to challenge with each other to gain the victory of being the world no.1 player. However, a few days ago, Roddick said that he'll maintain his no.1 seed so that he will not dissapointed all his fans. He added," Maybe for the year of 2003 was not my year but i could say that was the year of Roger Federer.Although he's really a good player and a great opponent for me, but i am sure i'll try my best in order to maintain my no.1 title. As for J.c Ferrero, i think he'll concentrate more on his hard works for the olympics title and he might not take the no.1 seed as a more important thing to think about."
He dropped out this words when he's doing an interview. :bounce:
By the way, he concluded his interview with his words,"I felt a little bit of nervous when i think one of them will challenge me on court for one aim, that's my world no.1 seed.erm i wish i can do my best!" :worship:

~~~~~~ Go Go Andy Roddick, Roger Federer, Lleyton Hewitt~~~~~~ :clap2:
I think the world no.1 title is really important to Roger becos he haven't been a World No.1 b4, so i think Andy Roddick or rather J.C should let him get the title... :rolleyes:
I can't wait 2 see some tennis again in 2004. Things r looking really interesting with the three kings in ferrero, federer and roddick, hewitt trying 2 make a comeback (i dont know if u can make a comeback at 22 but thats the only word that came to mind), safin and haas returning from injury and to that Agassi, Coria, Nalbandian, Moya and you have a pretty intersting year.
And Roddick also a good player .
LOL neither Andy nor Juan Carlos should just "let" Roger get to #1. he's a good player and he'll get there on his own someday, and most likely some day soon.
Sue, I really doubt Andy said that in some tennis mag interview. The lines read as some childish garble. Saying "erm" in an interview??
lmao
And like Deb said, it just doesn't seem like Andy would say those things.
Hello Ferrero fans! :wavey:
Sue, are you paraphrasing Roddick here? If so, you should not use quotation marks. As it is, it looks like you are printing the precise words he used, and there is no way that is the case! ;)
As for the question of Ferrero vs. Roddick vs. Federer, I think it depends what surface they are playing on. On clay I believe Juan Carlos probably has the advantage over both players (especially Roddick), but on faster surfaces that situation is reversed.
01-09-2004, 05:45 PM
Maybe not necessarily...Ferrero proved that he can play well on hard courts so he may beat Roddick neway!
MisterQ
01-09-2004, 05:53 PM
You're right, plum_juice, that Ferrero is an excellent hard court player. I certainly think he is capable of beating Roddick on hard court, but I would still give the edge to Andy. It is hard to go by their one and only match --- the next one could be different! --- but judging by their USO encounter, if Roddick is serving well there is little JC can do about it. (This type of situation happened with Pete and Andre all the time).
Roddick still hasn't learned to play really well on clay yet, though, and JC is the best there is on that surface. So obviously JC is the favorite in that situation!
" (...) As for J.c Ferrero, i think he'll concentrate more on his hard works for the olympics title and he might not take the no.1 seed as a more important thing to think about."
OMG Roddick thinks JC is more interested in a gold medal at the Olympics than a N° 1 ranking??? :eek: Bullocks....
