Signs that you are obcessed with RF!

Hey everyone,

Now I know that to use the word 'obsession' can be quite a strong word and to some people it might be even a bit frightening, but are any of you obsessed about him in a healthy way of course? ;)

1)I know because I miss seeing him perform in tournaments. Counting the days down to Monte Carlo.
2)Thinking about how I can get to see him at Wimbledon.
3)Always checking RF.com and MFT for pix and gossip etc.

There's more.........I'm sure

One strong symptom is when you start threads like: "What would Roger say", "Imagine living with Roger" etc...

He's a human being and a tennis player, for god's sake, what the fuck are you talking about...?

I'm afraid I am Fed addicted too... I can't help staying informed about all his daily business and gossip... And I truly enjoy seeing him play tennis almost like I enjoy sex :)

And I am a 30 years old guy... What's my problem doc ? Is there a therapy out there ? :)

No, kidding apart, I'm simply amazed by Fed's tennis talent and personnality, and I really enjoy living in such a sport era.

Whoa

I enjoy watching him play and cheer for him to win tournaments- but I can't say he is on my mind 24/7. Between now and Monte Carlo I have many other things on my plate. I will not even think about MC until it begins or even after Roger wins a couple of matches (assuming he does).

Outside his matches I must admit, I don't really care all that much what he does- his charities, his relationship with Mirka, what he is thinking, how much he eats, how many times a day he takes a shit- I just don't care!!!! All I care is for him to be healthy and focused so I can see him play amazing tennis. That's it.

Ok well you for sure are waaaaay to obsessed I think. It's kinda creepy and probably something that would freak Roger out if he ever read it on his website. :scared:

Apart from his tennis and accomplishments within the sport, I don't really follow Roger's personal life. Unless we personally know him, all we see as fans is the image he puts out there for the public. We don't really know who he is behind closed doors.

I assume he is a nice guy and wish only the best for his career.

Yep I agree. I couldn't give a monkeys what he does in his free time.

By medical definition, it IS "obsession" if recurrent intrusive ideas, thoughts and images cause significant anxiety, distress, and waste of time.

Therefore, if you function well--socially or professionally--on daily basis, you are OK. But if you don't, you may be pathologically obsessed with him and need some help.

I think some of the replies to Rog1 are a bit harsh ... she likes the guy - perhaps she likes him in the way some like pop stars/actors ... what's wrong with that? From what I hear, Bjorn Borg was idolised in the same way by many fans ... I've seen film of girls running onto the centre court to mob him - you certainly don't see that these days! As long as someone has other interests in their lives, I don't see the harm in it personally.

Well, thanks for you nice comments, Minnie. Believe me I'm not twisted in the head. I do have a life outside of Roger. So relax people. I love his tennis. No of course I don't know what he's like behind closed doors and maybe it's better that I don't.

Don't forget to contact me before you come around.
