Total points is a meaningless stat - too many times a player wins more points but loses a match.

I agree your stat is important but it is actually very rare for a player to win more points in total and lose a match. The reason you think it is common is probably because when it does happen you take note but when it doesn't you don't.

Anyway. Both of our stats are useless. The REAL important stat is this.

I agree with you. Lleyton has been struggling against serve & volley players for the past 1 and a half years. I don't know why, but he used to destroy them out there.

There are very few serve volleyers who S & V'ed like they did a couple of years ago. Henman approaches the net far less than he used to. When recieving Henman used to sice and come in every time and on his second serve he came in every time. This was several years ago of course and Hewitt has beaten Henman since he changed that aspect of his game but it is still an impact on the match up.
