The International Tennis Federation announced its re-test for the steroid THG has produced negative results. THG is a banned steroid that has been deliberately modified to make it undetectable by conventional drug tests.
After its emergence in other sports, a test was designed to detect THG in a standard urine sample. The ITF, with the support of the World Anti-Doping Agency, re-tested for THG in previously collected urine samples.
The ITF announced it re-tested samples taken during the U.S. Open and Davis Cup and all results were negative.
