Thanks for starting this thread Marti  I was fast asleep when this draw came out. I am sad that Juan has to play my other favourite player in the 1st round  - but I guess at least it means I get one player through to the second round :p Good Luck Juan

Well Juan lost 2-6, 1-6....... not really so surprising against a powerful, big server like Calleri when Juan generally sucks on fast courts  Sounds a bit like his ghastly match against Chela in Madrid last year - got despondant and gave up which always pisses me off  Having said that, I don't think they had any real hopes for this tournament or else they wouldn't have entered the Mexico Challenger next week, as Juan will have to be there by this coming weekend so obviously never expected to get past the 1st or perhaps 2nd round in Miami. And on a purely personal note, I hate the US hardcourt tourneys anyway - so as long as Juan plays in Europe next month I don't so much care about this one - I hate hardcourts and the hard court style of play - well at least I'm honest :p

Though sadly for you not in Estoril  - as the people in control have decided I get to spend my Birthday in Munich instead  I know there are good reasons for this decision , and I really loved Munich last year - so I am quite happy - but sorry for you - maybe next year

It's okay Rosie. Whatever it's best for Juan. I hope he does great in Munich, so you can have a proper Birthday.

Besides, I can call my self very lucky this year. With David and Marat coming, I could not ask for much more. Okay maybe for Juan and Rafa.
