Completely agree with you Maria :angel: And I still think playing a qualifier in the early rounds of a tournament is never as easy as it seems, as they get confidence from having already won few matches in qualies.

frankly speaking, when Serra easily beat Simon for their first round, i felt uneasy for Richard, in my eyes, Serra would become crazy if he wins one by one match :eek: you know, Mario a bit hesitates when he faces shark :rolleyes:

I tried to follow as well as I could so here my mini report for those who didn't see the match.
He was playing with a cap and the same green shirt as before. Mario served first and wasn't ready, Davy had BP and used it right away. :( Davy received really really well btw.
Mario finished his 2nd service game with an ace, started to get into the match. :D And then broke Davy back for 2-2! Then held to 0, the wind blew his cap away but that didn't disturb him. :lol:
Then held to 0 again. Kolya challenged a call and was right, his serve was IN, hehe, and he made the 2nd challenge on Mario's serve and was right again, his shot was on the line. And that was all from the challenges for the match, no challenges from Mario. A very calm match actually, Mario held for 6-5 and then broke Davy's serve again to 0 (!!!!!) to take the 1st set 7-5 with a lucky net cord. :D :D
Started the 2nd set and AGAIN lost his serve right away, I guess he relaxed too much after winning the 1st set. :( Once he attempted a bad dropshot and then Kolya hit a great FH winner to break.
In his next service game Mario saved 4 BPs (!!!) buyt finally hold for 1-2.
And then took Kolya's serve to 0 for 3-3!!!!!! Incredible!! Kolya made simply too many UEs.

OK, here my sad mini report but it has to be done I guess. :tears:
He had his green shirt on and no cap as this was a night match.
Our Mario started with losing his serve again. :( And couldn't do anything on David's serve either. Then Mario made a challenge on his serve for 1-2, the linesperson didn't call it but Mario saw that David's return was way OUT what the HawkEye also showed. :D This won Mario the last point on his serve.
Otrherwise David was too good, Mario lost his serve again, made 2 DFs. :(
2 GREAT returns when David served at 4-1 but that didn't help. :sad:
HEHE, David then challenged Mario's serve at 40-30 for 2-5 and was wrong, Mario's serve was IN, it was his 5th ace of the match. :D But that didn't help much either, David won the 1st set 6-2. Simply too many errors from our dear Mario. :sad: And he didn't have a single BP when David had 2 and used them both. Mario was kinda always late for David's shots. :(
At least he won his service game at the start of the 2nd set. :D
Then he had the 1st BP on David's serve but couldn't use it and was very angry about it, made a move like he wanted to throw his racket. :lol:

With all due respest to David and Mario sucked in that match, my opinion is thatMario entered the matchwith too much respect to his opponent, now I mean that in the best way. ario considers him the most talented player alongside with Fed and Marat, and I think he just entered thinking how he won't be able to defeat him (subconsciously) and their previous matches didn't help.
