It looks like GeorgeW 1 Saddam 0, this will mean the village idiot with Mad Cowboy Disease will have another 4 year reign as the leader of the free world.

If it's true, then good they get rid of Saddam but it will be interestng to see what happens next.

Well well well they caught him eventually. I wonder if Dubya and Anthony will be tried for war crimes as well?

It'll be good PR for Bush and Blair and gloss over their domestic problems. The question is will this have a major affect on war on terror? They are no closer to finding Bin Laden, still no WMD have been found, and as a vicious dictator that he was, he should be given an open and fair trial.

Here is the story and a pic of Saddam

http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,1106951,00.html

I wonder if Dubya and Anthony will be tried for war crimes as well? Lets not forget they waged an unprovoked war of aggression without a UN mandate, and they lied to their electorates regarding the intelligence.

Good they caught him, but the resistance won't stop until the occupation is over. As for the war on terror they haven't got close to capturing the Mullar Omah and Bin Laden, haven't found the WMD and Afghanistan is not exactly in a great state at the moment.

Though this is a great PR coup for the US, if Dubya doesn't handle this correctly it could so easily blow up in their faces, and becomes worse than Vietnam, therefore hurting his chances for re-election, then again regime change in the US is also needed.

There definitely needs to be an open and fair trial, and not some show trail by the US and it's allies, as they would lose all sense of credibility in seeking fair justice.

now the **** breathe is one step closer to ruling the country i live in for another 4years:rolleyes:..it is good that saddam is caught..but that doesnt stop the war on terror..their will always be more dictators like saddam...their is still world hunger..we havent solved global warming..we still havent caught bin laden..havent stopped racism around the world..or the growth of aids in africa...and hell their are for more things to worry about..and i would rather not like to hear bush talk about any of them...hes a fucking hicky twat..and if i had to choose i would probably rather socialize with micheal bolton than george w. bush:o

Let's see....what would I do to Saddam Hussein?

After I was done torturing him with his own torture devices, I would shave his whole body down and drag him naked through the streets so people could point and laugh and kick at him, then I'd string him upside down on a tree limb and let the neighborhood kids have at him like a pinata, then I'd cut his balls off, stuff them in his mouth, tar and feather him, and then finally bury him near a sewage treatment plant with a Bible and pig carcasses.

Yeah, that sounds good to me. ;)

sounds fucking stupid:confused:

Hard not to be happy about the capture itself. Finally the Iraqi people and the rest of the world can be put at ease about him.

But it still doesn't change my opinion about Bush. We need to put a new face in the White House in '04!

And how would this help?

I agree with those who said that Saddam should have a fair trial.

Yeah, but, Dream, it was kind of awful to read.

Sadaam did terrible things to his people and I am glad he is caught.

I hope this stabilizes Iraq, but I don't know that it will.

I want to see Bush gone so badly. I don't see the Democrats fielding a cannidate that is going to win though.

You would think the American people would be furious that Bush told lies to justify the invasion, but apparently, many many don't care at all. I'd still like to see a poll about what percentage of the populace think Sadaam had some roll n 9-11.

I think its good he was caught but i think it will be more interesting to see what happens now that he is caught.

Has any1 heard the story of the 'green-eyed girl'. It was some girl a journalist took a picture of her and then every1 who saw the picture was fasinated with her eyes because they were so deep ect ect and then knowing nothing about her other then having the picture the journalists went back and found her.

Now i find it pretty amazing that they can find her in a country that does not have the same structures as a 1st world country where you could find some1 if you had there picture, knowing nothing about her but the most powerful country and miltary in the world can not find Oasma Bin Laden.

I know that 'the green-eyed girl' wasnt hiding and Osama Bin Laden is in hiding and knows the mountains and stuff well but the man is sick and dying and apparently he has the most powerful country in the world searching for him.

Of course he didn't. Saddam isn't a terrorist, he is just a moron

Yes, WyverN we agree on your above point. The thing is yes Saddam was a nasty guy, but he was not a religious fundamentalist like Bin Laden and the guys who committed the attacks, and he had nothing to do with those attacks.

Well, it looks like the trial will be in Iraq, though it won't be for quite some time as they don't have the necessary structure in place as of yet.

Of course he didn't. Saddam isn't a terrorist, he is just a moron

exactly:worship:...

and despite just how badly sadam treated the people of his country and how much he brainwashed the citizens of iraq i still believe that he deserves a fair trial..and about killling or torturing saddam as many would like to see...that would be wrong and very unjust.. besides it is not violence that best overcomes hate-nor revenge that most certainly heals injury."

in the bible it states
"love your enemies:bless them that curse you; do good to those that hate you and despitefully use you;"

so there you go...it may sound crazy and almost impossible but it is what we are all supposed to do i believe at least..and i may sometimes forget this as well..but i can at least say i try to follow it:)

I have no mercy for Saddam.
Saddam doesn't deserve food that the tortured Iraqis don't have. Don't bring religion into this cuz
reality is what we're living.

My family has gone through war. Criminals don't
give mercy to their victims. Future terrorists
are created when no one cares enough for
children in war-torn countries.

Good to see some sense of closure. I can't help but to think that Bush and his administration is further trying to establish a firm jingoistic mindset in the public though. What's next? Osama to be captured all of a sudden? Seems a lil fishy to me, with the timing of this capture.

This is just another thing that will make Bush look better!! I mean the guy was an evil, horrible person, but i agree with what Mr. Q said earlier in this thread: We need a new face in the White house! (and quick)
