At those odds I will definitely have something on Hingis, those odds would make more sense if they were flipped around.

Hingis/Sharapova could go either way, depending on which Maria shows up. If she is on, she can overpower Hingis, but the minute she drops her focus Hingis will be all over her. Those odds definitely make me want to put a wager on Hingis.

Only match I like is Hingis because she's beaten Sharapova this year already... And sharapova has had a bit of a struggle in a few of her matches this week. Also hingis beat davenport which is another power puncher... But I might not play it because it could go either way depending on how sharapova plays.

Is there anyone here who can compare Blake's current form with his Australian Summer form by having watched his matches (either live or on tv) in both Australia and the US? Just wanted to know if he has stepped it up a level now that he is back on US soil.

One match I noticed you missed..

The line for JHH vs Dementieva.. I'm taking this one if JHH is at least 1.5.

If so, I'm going to hit a good bet on JHH to beat Dementieva!

Blakes' form can come and go in a blink so I don't think anyone can comment on what Blake's form really is.. he got jacked up by Sam Query in the first set just this week, and lost to Wang and Viliegen recently. So who knows if he'll keep the same form or misfire like crazy.

Andreev is inconsistent too. He lost to Cilic, Bracialli and so forth, granted those were indoors. Also lost to starace and youzhny outdoors.

I did see Andreev's match against Roddick and he was red hot. His serve was smoking and his forehand/backhand were heavy and fast. If Andreev plays the way he played against Roddick, James will need to play well to complete too!

Justine is at 1.222. I don't think Dementieva has a chance, but I hate wagering on low odds like this.

No plays for me

Both favourites should pull through, however their odds are definately 'unders'

Good luck to those having a punt

Typical Paradorn - Nieminen match....glad I stayed away to be honest. If only I could have stayed away from much of that free :drink: last night...man it is going to be a very looooong day! :(

Dementieva can be a tough underdog.. Clijsters was red hot last year and she was 1.10 against Dementieva and got owned. I wouldn't bet on that match unless I watch it live.

Very true... Thats why the stakes are small on my parlay, and I put two almost sure "winners" in it to boost it to 1.9 odds.

Also clijisters on an off day is like blake on an off day. She goes for way too much is why she got blown out by Hingis in 2nd set at AO.

Good comparison Twist. Justine is the most consistent player on the WTA, she won't beat herself and I don't think Dementieva has the firepower to beat her. That being said, that line is getting no action from me.

I love watching Blake play, but I refuse to put money on him if he's under 1.5.

No, it wasn't the case back then, Clijsters simply got outplayed, I remember Dementieva serving very very well .I was shocked. And then next round she faced Mauresmo (odds moving towards Dementieva like crazy after that win, she was actually favourite) and crashed in straight sets.

The Lovely One can beat anybody or can lose to out-of- top-100 player.
I like Baghy as well today. At least to trade in play.

Igor isn't look bad - but as i said he has excelent record and loves to play against serve-bombers but i'm afraid James has got more to offer...

good luck

Great stuff man! :yeah: I know this is WTA, but how can you have the confidence in a player like Dementieva to come back from that situation, especially when she has the Tour's worst serve?

I can't see him losing. He can return huge serves so Baggy's can be accounted for. He should be able to win more than 50% of the rallies as well. If his foot bothers him he would be wise to retire rather than let Baggy win it...afterall he has had serious injury problems.

Small plays lost today.. damn baggy was doin so good coulda taken the TB possibly since he had a lot more recieving pts won.. but fell apart in the last game and .. he always seems to get bageled after dropping a set (ie fed/stepan/almost roddick)

He was right there in the first set, had some early bp chances, and was up 30-0 going into the tiebreak and promptly loses 4 straight points and the set. He did almost the exact thing against Federer in the AO finals, up 40-0 going for a tiebreak up a set, and loses 5 points in a row to lose the set. Both times he just shut down mentally and got destroyed the rest of the match.

as you said, it's wta and everything is possible till the umpire says "game set match", and with Elena on court it's even more possible ;)

i like to mention - in such cases - about Raymond - Kurhajcova match (French Open 2004) where girl from Slovakia led 60 50 and finally lost 60 57 36...

I bet a lot on live betting (on Betfair) and for me - wta is definitely the best money-making-machine ever made ;)
