What is the one thing u really want your fav to do in 2004?

If u had to pick one thing above anything what would it be?
Mine are:
Hewitt - Win the AO Open
Ferrero - Win Wimbeldon
Agassi - Win RG

Well, if I'm honest, I guess it would be for Roger Federer to win the Grand Slam. But although that's not altogether in the realms of fantasy, it's probably a bit optimistic, and would prevent my wishes for the others coming true. So let's say:

Federer - get to number one and stay there
Henman - a Wimbledon title, finally
Agassi - win any of the GS titles and retire in a grand manner

I would like Andre to win either RG or Wimbledon. Or both, actually, but that is two things, lol. Of those two, I think Wimbledon is still a possibility, but RG would be a real long shot! Who knows though, stranger things have happened.

However, if Andre "just" wins the AO, I will be happy too!

I also would like Federer to get a taste of No. 1 at some point, and considering the rankings situation going into the AO, his chances are very good.

For Andy, I want to see him do much better at Roland Garros this year.

Considering all David's injury problems this year (which unfortunately are still causing him problems), I guess I'd just say that my main hope for 2004 is that he stays healthy and doesn't lose too much time to injury. Also, I'd love to see him win his first Grand Slam title - don't really care which one as long as he gets one(!) - and also for Guillermo to win his first Grand Slam title too. I also think it would be nice for Roger to be Number 1.

:wavey:

For my FAVE player:

I would love for ROGI to achieve #1 and win another Slam, whether it be Wimby again, the Aussie Open, Roland Garros or the USO, plus it w be lovely for him to win either Gstaad or Basel, which w mean so much to him! Also, I want Rogi to beat Hewitt and Henman [properly]. If he can help Switzerland to win the DC, that w be amazing, if not a miracle [but that really depends more on the other Swiss players than on Rogi].

For my other faves:

I w like Juanqui to win another Slam as well [USO w be fantastic for him], beat Lleyton Hewitt decisively and win a title in N America.

I dearly want Marat to come back w a vengeance and re-establish himself as the top player he is and win another slam, beat Pandy, AA, Hewitt and anyone else he s beat! And pls stay healthy in 2004!!

[forgive me, I know I went overboard on this post... :p ]

I want Lleyton to do what he does best - prove his detractors wrong.

I have no doubt he will if he decides to play a full year. People are reacting as if he's already a has been and might as well pack up his bags and retire. Whilst I admit that Hewitt had an abysmal year on the circuit, it is interesting to note that he still had the 5th best win/loss ratio out of all the players for the year.

Here's some names that i checked up:

Agassi 47-10 (4.7 wins per loss)
Federer 78-17 (4.5 wins per loss)
Roddick 72-19 (3.8-ish wins per loss)
Coria 60 -16 (3.75 wins per loss)
Hewitt 37-10 (3.7 wins per loss)
Ferrero 67-21 (3.1 wins per loss)
Moya 58-22 (2.63 wins per loss)
Schuettler 71-30 (2.36 wins per loss)
Nalbandian 42-20 (2.1 wins per loss)

True, stats don't always tell the whole story, and the way Hewitt lost his matches is more indicative than a stat like this as to where he is going. But I think this still shows that he is there abouts and he really deserves to be in this group's company. I am looking forward to him playing a full year, racking up the points and heading back to the top of the rankings.

C'mon Lleyt!

I can't say I'm looking forward to his rise up the rankings, but I'm sure it's inevitable. C'mon, justice! as he so memorably yelled at RG this year...

Anyway, for my trinity of favourite players, the following:

Federer winning the AO, reaching no. 1, finally winning a match at RG and having a better US hardcourt season. That's four things I'd really want him to do, but hey...

Henman - easy. Win the big W, Timbo.

And Schalken to do better in Australia than he usually does, play consistently on all surfaces and especially in the Masters Series, and finish the year in fitting style with a first US Open crown!

Federer, always stay healthy, find a new and suitable coach and get on well with him, reach No.1 as soon as possible and stay there as long as possible, win AO, defend Wimbledon title, win at least one TMS, do a better job in RG and USO than 2003.

Moya, pick up his second spring like Agassi.

Safin, a good come back within his power.

Here's what i want them to do in 2004:-

Juan Carlos Ferrero = Try and come out of his shell, be more confident, be less shy, continue to dominate the clay season and win a grandslam on hardcourt.

Roger Federer = Be more consistant in grandslams and defend his Wimbledon title.

Andy Roddick = Stop being arrogant, be a little bit more humble in victories and not let success get over his head. Do better on clay and concentrate on playing tennis; not making a reality show.

Andre Agassi = Win the Australian Open!

Guillermo Coria = Be less one dimensional and win more titles of hardcourts or carpet or grass.

JCF, A-Rod and FedEx: defend their slam titles. It's just good the way it is. ;)

Roddick: dump Mandy and finally come out of the closet. :o
JCF: rule the clay season with 3 TMSs, a GS and no losses.
FedEx: bring back Lundgren
Guga: comeback and be a slam contender again. Esp.RG, your favourite.
Tim: finally win that f***in Wimbledon. [sorry Fed, this guy needs it!]

I hope Tommy will continue improving his game and get picked up for a Davis Cup tie as a double player. I also hope we will be the olympics with Feliciano Lopez. Oh yeah, a second title wouldn't be bad either. :clap2:

For Alex, it's easier. I wish he will get his game and confidence back because it's been a pretty sad season for his fans. :worship:
