Will Andre Agassi win his fifth AO title in 2004?tangerine_dream 12-10-2003, 02:20 AM I'd love to see it! Andre :worship: MisterQ 12-10-2003, 02:57 PM If he is as prepared as he was last year, he has a great shot at it! Andre'sNo1Fan 12-10-2003, 10:27 PM Yes he can! Good luck Andre. J. Corwin 12-11-2003, 06:32 PM He just might do it again. C'mon old man. Let's win the Grand Slam. ;) Wojtek 12-12-2003, 08:17 AM Good luck Andre Crazy_Fool 12-12-2003, 02:59 PM Good luck Andre. Experimentee 12-15-2003, 02:27 PM I think he can! Good luck Andre! :bounce: Fedex 12-24-2003, 01:56 AM I believe he'll do it again. Although i hope Federer's in the other side of the draw, so we can have a potential Federer-Agassi final!! :0 MisterQ 01-06-2004, 01:20 PM A Federer-Agassi final? Talk about genius on both sides of the court! Amazing prospect! (as long as Andre wins -- you've got plenty of time, Rogi!) Andre has been training hard again throughout the off-season. He will be ready! :yippee: jtipson 01-06-2004, 05:52 PM A Federer-Agassi final would be perfect for the AO (well, any of the GSes, actually). Their games match up so well, and if both are playing at their best...wow. Still, I'd have a hard time deciding who to support though. Roger would have number one ranking sewn up already by getting that far, and Andre could get that ninth to give him that special place in history. Hate to bring the subject up, but d'you think he might retire if he does win it? MisterQ 01-06-2004, 08:16 PM He might, jtipson... But let's not think about that! ;) I really hope he will at least give each major one more shot, and not retire before the US Open. RebelNYC 01-09-2004, 04:09 PM GO ANDRE! I am SURE he is going to have a great showing Down Under, and it would be THE best if Roger were on the other side of the net... you KNOW you're going to get an exciting final there! But I don't think Andre will retire if he wins (at least I hope not!) I want to see him have one more run at each of the Grand Slams, and he MUST return to the US Open! GO ANDRE AND GOOD LUCK IN AUSTRALIA! MisterQ 01-12-2004, 03:46 AM Andre is in Melbourne. He and Steffi and the kids went to their favorite Mexican restaurant there recently. Hopefully he will eat a lucky burrito and WIN THIS THING!!! :woohoo: Fedex 01-12-2004, 04:07 AM I certainly hope Andre dosnt retire if he wins. I dont think he will either. You could tell when pete won the open, in his interview, he just knew it was the perfect ending to a legendary carrer! I think andre will play as long as he feels he can compete with the young guns ;) A Federer-Agassi final would be great. Great contrasting styles. Although since im a big fan of both i hope it goes atleast 4 sets with lots of tie breaks. Kinda like their match at TMC. The Round Robin not the final, is something similar that i would like to see in Australia!! yanchr 01-12-2004, 06:47 AM A replay of TMC RR Roger vs Andre? No tennis can be any better, and as long as Roger wins again. Andre...I don't like to see him winning another GS. Sorry, I used to be a Pete fan, so don't want him to come any closer to Pete's record. Sorry for my selfishness. So now let's hope Andre is in the top half, coz Roger is obviouly in the very bottom. J. Corwin 01-14-2004, 09:13 AM Go Andre. dain-love-tennis 01-15-2004, 07:02 AM Agassi is a great guy,and he can get it! I'd love to see the result.I hope he and Roger will meet in the final. MisterQ 01-15-2004, 07:07 PM Great wins by Andre at Kooyong thus far: straight sets over Grosjean and Federer. Shows that he is in good form! Deboogle!. 01-15-2004, 10:06 PM Since when is Andre NOT in good form at the beginning of the season or after a long break? ;) MisterQ 01-19-2004, 03:04 PM Just six matches to go! :woohoo: MisterQ 01-26-2004, 06:09 PM Wow, only three matches to go. But it's still a brutal path to AO title #5. next up, Grosjean. GO ANDRE!!! Razor 01-27-2004, 12:38 AM Go Andre you can do it. Just 3 more matches. Against Sebastian, Marat & Davide federerfan7465 01-27-2004, 12:45 AM Hahaha, more like Seb, Marat, and Roger. WyverN 01-27-2004, 01:54 AM Actually seb, Andy and Roger ;) J. Corwin 01-27-2004, 05:14 AM Well he got an easy win over Seb...with Seb retiring of course. MisterQ 01-27-2004, 05:26 AM He was hitting the ball so well today. More convincing form than we saw in the match against Paradorn. Seb's retirement was really unfortunate. But surely Andre will be happy to be well-rested for his match against Marat or Andy. He will need that energy. RebelNYC 01-27-2004, 03:53 PM You always hate to see a match end like that, but ANDRE will focus on the positive here ..... I think he will have plenty of energy and he is going to need it against Safin (good riddance, Roddick).... GO ANDRE! I truly believe this Australian Open is ANDRE's best chance for another Grand Slam ... he is SO CLOSE NOW! GO ANDRE! You're the Man! SaFed2005 01-28-2004, 01:42 AM He can win again... It just depends on how him and his opponents play in the match... Everyone left in the draw is very good and anyone can win this... I think most of them have the same chance of winning... Hoping Federer wins today... He's been stopped by Nalbandian too many times in a GS... It's his turn to win........ | |
