VAMOS, OSITO!!

I can't! :haha: I'm afraid to talk to the guys. I'm not brave like GonzoFan with Fernando or Kid with Nico.

But I promise that I will try to find some Chilean fans who will translate what they are saying to each other during practice - sometimes you can find out things that way. Plus I will try to sit near Horacio during his games - he talks sometimes, and again if someone translates for me, I will let you all know!

Don't be so shy! My sis and I are never shy when it comes to tennis players, in any language! Even my couple of Russian phrases that I say to Marat! ;) Actually, Fena is so friendly and sweet and gentle w his fans!

Nah, it's OK, I understand, sometimes it's difficult to go right up to them and start talking... they must think we're all nuts!

Have a nice time in Miami, Nicofan :)
I hope the boys will play better in their second home !!

I know...I need to suck it up and just do it! And Fernando is a sweetie to his fans. Though I think that sometimes the guys get tired of it, and I hate to bother them. Like RogiFan said - they must think we're all nuts at times!

But...once, I just have to - I know I'll regret it someday if I don't.

Horacio too - I've always wanted to tell him how much I appreicate how well he takes care of Fernando, but I doubt I'd ever get all those words to come out of my mouth to him!

Kiefer in the third could be dangerous but I heard he had an injury, is that true??
and then Nadal :scared: but we shouldn't think about those two matches now and just focus in the Wawrinka/Murray one which should be interesting ;) and let's hope Gonzo will make it to the third round for the first time in an important tournament this year.

VAMOS, FENA!!!

We'll start to have the coverage tonight or tomorrow I think here.

Regarding Stan, he's not the first player to throw his racquet, so we can't really say that he's negative. I saw him playing LIVE in Paris indoors in 2005 and he was ok and seems to be a nice guy. Well, as someone said (I think it was Gonzofan but not sure), hope that Kiefer won't throw his racquet against Fernando

I had a feeling they might get rescheduled because Fernando's match ended so late, and I could be wrong but I don't think that Court 3 has lights - its one of the outer courts - not a show court.

GF - Every Chilean I meet doesn't like Hans. And are bummed that he's the captain. He seemed nice at the US Open when I sat behind him at one of Fer's matches, but other than that I don't know much about him. Maybe we could get Marcelo to be captain. Just kidding.

I don't like many things about him.
First of all, I think he never thinks in what's best for the players.
The Chilean Tennis Federation controls him, he doesn't take any decisions.
Second, I hated when he had this problem for the DC tie against Slovakia when Horacio went to help the boys (Gonzo, Paul and Adrian) and Hans said that what he did was something really bad and he shouldn't have done it because he was the captain and he was the one who has to help the guys practice and not Horacio ... C'MON!!! Horacio helped them because they asked him to do so !!!! (Gildemeister :ras: ) (Now for this tie against USA, Gonzo talked with Gildemeister and asked him if Horacio could go with them and Hans had no chance so he obviously said yes.)
The other thing was that Horacio said that the boys were feeling really unconfortable in the court (Rancagua) and Gildemeister said that what Horacio said affected the players  Horacio knows his players! and I watched the matches and some parts of the practices and THEY WERE FEELING BAD IN THE COURT, even in a moment tv showed Gonzo and Nico complaining about it.

No one has the right to say bad things about our Horacio !!!!!

but seriously I dislike Hans since a loooooong time ago even when he was not captain yet.

And last but not least when I went to the practices on september for the tie against Pakistan I asked him something about the practices and he gave me a :( look :ras:

 to Fernando after losing such a close match. I was very happy to see he won his 2nd round match though-he's getting back into form is sounds like.

Too bad about Hans. Last year when Nico still had Pato as a coach and he seemed to be jealous of Horacio and was causing problems Hans seemed like the solution but he doesn't sound that great now either. Could all these grown men please just put their pride aside and do what is best for the guys and the team? (Good for Fernando for asking Hans if Horacio could come along-Horacio really seems to help the team)

First I was so happy when he won in first match in Miami. :aparty:
But I started watching his second match at third set *5-4 40-40,he choked, served one df and missed one shot. :banghead: How "lucky" I am to see this! :armed: I know he would lose.I like Kiwi, but of course I cheer for Feña for sure. :rocker2: When Kiwi got his groundswell,he was crazy,he was very different to be broken. :scared: His serve was good at his last serve, held in love or 40-15.Then Feña served,he was a bit impatient, wanted to finish it fast, but sadly when he controlled the whole rhythm and Kiwi only returned a high bounced ball,he netted the ball or the ball was out! :bigcry: Actually he just lost 2 points after 30-40,but Kiwi was clever to use the right strategy,he waited for Feña's ue like Nadal always does! :awww:
I don't know what I can act, when he or Ivan loses the match like this,I can hardly find a good mood in few days! :help:

An interview with:

FERNANDO GONZALEZ

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Are you still in the doubles with Massu?

FERNANDO GONZALEZ: Yeah. I mean, we're supposed to play today, but we're gonna play tomorrow.

Q. There was some misinformation?

FERNANDO GONZALEZ: No, we play tomorrow.

Q. And for sure, do you plan to go to Fisher Island to practice after the tournament?

FERNANDO GONZALEZ: I mean, after the tournament, we need to practice on grass. I mean, I haven't talked with the captain yet, but that's one of the chances that we have, is to go to Fisher Island, and the other one is to go straight to California.

Q. What would be preferable for you?

FERNANDO GONZALEZ: We have to see. I mean, practice on grass, the grass is, I mean, almost the same everywhere.

But I need to talk to him first, and then we gonna see.

Q. You have no idea whether or not you have any difficulty getting a reservation to use Fisher Island?

FERNANDO GONZALEZ: I don't know. I have no idea. I mean, I haven't talked to him.

GF - thanks for the interview. Since Fisher Island is outside of Miami that's nice for them because they'll have all their family and friends there for them. Plus I could be wrong on this, but they can't practice at the actual site until a week before anyway but I have to check on that.

And thanks for the info on Hans. I didn't like what he did at the DC against Slovakia either.

And everytime I see Horacio with Fernando, I'm so thankful that he's Fernando's coach - Horacio takes good care of our sweetie. And I think that there's a lot of misinformation about Horacio out there. There's a thread on GM and people were saying that Horacio isn't liked by Argentina tennis. As we say in the US, someone needs to send a memo to Horacio and the other Argentine coaches and players to let them know. Cuz they all seemed to be getting along fine when I see them in person. ;)

Sad that Fernando lost, Gonzo Fan, I'll check later the scorethread. I'm a bit sick at the moment (maybe the flu), so yesterday evening, I couldn't follow the scoreboard, too tired. I was expected his defeat to be honest, especially after his first match. I'll see on the scorethread why he lost. Now, I hope that the boys will prepare well on grass, won't be easy but possible, I want to see them in the next round vs France

NicoFan : hope you had a nice time in Miami :)
