how would you sum up this year for Juan Carlos

12-08-2003, 11:46 PM
hi, his is my 1st thread that i have posted here, so it may not turn out a success. Just would like 2 no wat every1 else thinks about the year Juanqui has had this year!!!
my opinon - i think it waz a great year for Juanqui, improving his ranking to three, compared to last years no.4 ranking & the win @ Roland Garros!!
wat do u think???!

i think its being a brilliant year and like i've said just because he didnt play that well towards the end of the year and didnt finish number one DOES NOT change that he's had a very successful year. I mean how could u call getting to the quarters of AO and WIMBLEDON...(can u beleive it Wimbledon...), FINAL of USO and WINNING Roland Garros anything but an amazing year?!

Not to mention winning Madrid, Monte Carlo and Valencia...

I totally agree with you guys! 2003 has been excellent for Juanqui despite recent losses towards the end of the year. He has achieved a lot this year-- Roland Garros, did well in every Grand Slam ( proved that he can fare well on all surfaces ) , claimed the No.1 ranking but dropped to No.3 ( He'll bounce back next year! :) ) , won Tennis Masters Madrid and many other tournies, made the DC Final and lots more!
In a nutshell, he's had an amazing year and I know we all hope that he will do better next year!! :wavey:
Good Luck Juanqui in 2004!

It has been a weird start to the year. Final in Sydney and loss to an unknown Korean player. Then, the middle of the year was perfect. Brilliant I can say. But the end sucked.

12-13-2003, 09:47 AM
unknown Korean player? Huang Taik Lee played REALLY well and as disapointed as i was to have JCF throw that match away *rolleyes* Lee played really well and deserved to win it

12-13-2003, 08:06 PM
I din't say Huyng Taik-Lee played badly, he obviously played well, but comparing to Juanqui, Lee was rather unknown till that tournament.

12-14-2003, 01:32 AM
yeh, that's, i remember reading in a newpaper article, that Lee described the win as revenge, b/c Juanqui beat him in the 2000 Olympics!!!

12-14-2003, 03:56 AM
Iza- yeah i know what u mean

i remember that was sooo painful...all i remember is that jc had like 10000 doubles faults or something was so weird

12-16-2003, 10:05 AM

12-24-2003, 06:32 AM
BTW JC made the 4th rd at Wimbledon, not the QF. But still an amazing year for him and just like i think Federer will defend Wimbledon next year, I have no doubt that JC will defend RG, but possiby 2 slams next year! Roddick's win was a fluke. I doubt hill win another slam. maybe 1 more, but we know he wont be winning RG ;)

12-25-2003, 05:44 AM
oops yes i knew it was 4th not

12-25-2003, 09:12 AM
well here'll make it past the 4th round next year!!!!!

12-26-2003, 12:58 AM
hehe *fingers crossed*

12-30-2003, 11:55 AM

Wow! Let's hope he can win it next year!! Gooood Luuck!!!! :D
