NicoFan

You know, sadly I would love to be a paparazzi following Nico around all day. Me bad. ;)

Especially when he's shirtless! :haha:

kidnicky
03-14-2006, 03:35 PM
oooh yes, that would be the best job in the world for us right NicoFan? ;)

So please NicoFan, you've to start beign focus, ready and just take lots of great pics like you always do .... remember focus!!

NicoFan
03-14-2006, 03:37 PM
Oh believe me, I'll be focusing when Nico is in front of me. Of course, I have to remember to breathe when I get near him. ;)

And I forget, yes, more important - he needs a great draw! Cuz pictures are great - but wins are better! :woohoo:

kidnicky
03-14-2006, 04:17 PM
of course!! I've been keeping everything crossed since now for a good draw!! wins are much much better!!! and even more when you're watching those live  :yeah:

and you just have to repeat to yourself, breathe .... breathe .... Nico shirtless .... breathe :haha:

Good luck to Nico and Nicofan in Miami! :hatoff: I have confidence that Nicofan will get lots of good pics-she's poven her ability. I think we should be hoping for hot weather so Nico goes shirtless again... ;)

I have more confindence in the weather than the draw...so I will keep my fingers crossed for him. He seems to have made the transisiton to hard courts fairly well this time so with a good draw (ie NO Roger!) He can do quite well I belive.

NicoFan
03-16-2006, 04:26 PM
I miss Nico.

We need something like NICOTV where cameras follow him around 24/7 so we don't have to miss him. ;) :haha:

He's love that.

Yeah right...

kidnicky
03-16-2006, 04:41 PM
I miss Nico too :sobbing:

I guess that we'd love that NicoTV idea NicoFan but him ... mmm I'm not that sure

Besides our jobs would have to be the producers of that show 'cause I really don't think that our bosses would accept to have a TV in our desks don't you think??? :haha:

NicoFan
03-16-2006, 04:47 PM
Being a producer would be fun!

But yes, Nico would hate it.

Maybe have an hour show everyday except Sunday (we'll let him have one day off for good behavior. :haha: ) That's a good compromise. ;)

kidnicky
03-16-2006, 06:27 PM
could you imagine us as producers of that show??? we'd always have him practicing shirtless, sleeping shirtless, eating shirtless oooh! ans with his hair down ... ok I better stop

no sundays off!!! I'm at home on weekends so those would be my days wathing NicoTV all day! so we could give him monday off

Oh God! Now we completely lost our minds isn't?? :silly:

NicoFan
03-16-2006, 07:36 PM
My only excuse - I'm bored and I just wore myself out last week with writing papers so I'm a little dazed and confused today.

kidnicky
03-16-2006, 08:36 PM
oh you have an excuse?? damn! and wich would be mine??? .... mmm forget it I don't have any excuse but it's not my fault, Nico has some of the blame in all this, I was a little crazy but after Acapulco, I completely lost my mind :haha:

Hey everyone! :wavey:

If you have time, please fill in this fan survey from the ATP - its really not a fan survey - they want to see about beer, betting, and liquor sponsorships. But there is a comment sections: two things that would be nice to mention in that section are more live feeds and live tickers that actually work. Probably won't help but at least they'll have to read them and will know what we think of the crappy job they are doing. ;)

VAMOS!!! to Nico!!!!

Thanks Sparko! Last night I was kind of freaking because I don't like flying. I'm fine once I'm on the plane, but thinking about it always makes me  I don't know how these guys fly all the time.

But I woke up totally psyched! :woohoo:

I'll give Nico a  and  from you all! :p Yeah I wish. ;)

Well since you'll be seeing him you've to NicoFan!!!! so give him a kiss and a hug for me  oh and I hope that you had a nice flight, glad to know that you didn't get the word in la tercera article 'cause it said that Nico catched a cold (and I know that you'd have been even more freaked that just for the fligh lol!) but don't worry, he's fine now and practicing in Miami ;) ooohh!! you'll be seeing him tomorrow!!!! ahhhhh!!!! :sobbing:

oh and just a quick note from some info that I found in la tercera , it seems that the people from Dusseldorf want the boys there and that they're trying to find a solution 'cause it seems that they only have 5 teams confirmed and that France and Sweeden (that will be the next on the list) haven't confirmed yet their assistance and after them it's the Switzerland team and Roger doesn't want to play so there's still a possibility

I know that some of us don't want that the boys play there but according to their parents they'd like to play again but they're waiting for a formal invitation. So I guess that if this invitation wouldn't be possible well fine for us :p the boys will have more time for their preparation in RG but if they do receive the invitation and they want to play well Good luck!! lol! we'll be supporting them anyway so....

BUENA SUERTE EN MIAMI NICO AND NICOFAN!!!!!

:) Much better draw than IW (anything looks good after Roger :p !). Still shouldn't take any of these guys for granted-Tommy R can be tough. I don't know a lot about Sluiter either, but Nico has been playing well and he should be able to beat him. Good Luck Nico!!!!

Post match interview with Massu

http://www.nasdaq-100open.com/news/2006/interviews/0322e.html

N. MASSU/R. Sluiter
6‑4, 6‑3
An interview with:

NICOLAS MASSU

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. April 7th is coming soon. You'll be on your favorite surface: Grass.

NICOLAS MASSU: Favorite or not favorite?

Q. You've won some matches on grass. You've won some matches at Wimbledon. How difficult is this Davis Cup tie going to be for you?

NICOLAS MASSU: Not really ‑‑ when you get more preparation, maybe you play better. But in the last two years, I played just Wimbledon. I didn't play the tournaments before that.

Yeah, I always win some matches in grass. I remember that I played Nottingham for two times and I won the two first matches. Wimbledon, I make one time the third round and two times the second round. In Juniors, I won in the Wimbledon in doubles, and Queen's in doubles, so. I made quarters in Wimbledon also in Juniors.

So I have a little experience. I try to do my best when I play there. But of course that is the surface that more I don't have too much experience there, but I try to do my best.

Q. The United States does not want you and Gonzalez to sit back on the baseline and slam shots back. That's maybe why they picked it.

NICOLAS MASSU: What you say, in the doubles?

Q. In singles.

NICOLAS MASSU: What your question?

Q. The United States picked grass because they seem to be afraid that you and Gonzalez will sit back on the baseline, and you both hit the ball very, very ‑‑

NICOLAS MASSU: Yeah, all the players have different style of game, so me and Fernando, we are aggressive players from the baseline. So of course in grass we have to play more in the net, go more for to make some volleys. It's going to be difficult for the doubles. We going to have to change a little bit. We cannot stay in the back making just winners or try to hit the ball from the baseline.

I don't know. We gonna have like maybe one or two weeks for practice there, so I don't know. I don't know.

Is a different court, but is nice to play against the United States in grass. Is going to be a good experience for us. Is the first time that we are in the quarterfinals, so we gonna try to do our best.

Q. Will you play doubles at this tournament?

NICOLAS MASSU: Yeah, we play together in Indian Wells and here, so we gonna practice the doubles for Davis Cup.

Q. And then if you go out, you go to Fisher Island and work there?

NICOLAS MASSU: Yeah, Davis Cup captain arrive today, so we are taking care about that. Depends on how we do here.

Nicofan - I was there for all six hours of it yesterday. Was heartbreaking. Sat again with TeamChile (they asked where you were.) Will email you all the details when I get home on Wednesday. Have plenty of pics, too - and will be going to dubs match today.

:wavey:

Hey there! I thought of you watching their matches. I think that would have cried if I was there. I wish I had stayed and changed my flight - I felt like I abandoned them. Yeah right - as if they really knew that I wasn't there.

And lucky you that you got to sit with the cute Chilenos! They were so nice. I wish that I had a chance to see them again.

Can't wait to see your pictures! My pictures came out okay - there were some good ones, but the videos rocked - I think next time I'll just take videos.

Good luck to Nico and Feña today!! this has to be a better day after the terrible day that we had yesterday ... mi final thought about yesterday is that the Gradstand court is cursed  thank God that today's match is not there, I was yelling yesterday when I saw the final of Feña's match "I can't believe it!! this is not happening again?!?!" ... poor boys  and I saw an interview with Nico after the match and well like you read in the previous post from NicoFan, he was sad and trying to figure out why he couldn't end that match but he was calmn and I'm more calmn now ... the guy from ESPN said tha the Grandstand was the witness of the pain of an entire country, and I was like "not only Chile!! I'm suffering here too!!"

Tennisace, thanks for beign with our NicoFan!! You spend all day in that court with our boys and thanks for that, I spend the all day in front of the computer, what a day

Back from TW. Saw most of the dubs match. Was entertaining and the boys looked relaxed even though they lost. Lovely Chilenos not at the match as they had to fly home that night. They were v nice to me on Sunday. Bought me ice cream and invited me to dinner (I declined.) I had no idea though that they were such close friends with HdlP and Fena. Did you know that one of them had been - until this year - President of Chilean Tennis Fed? And another the VP? They really took me in and even HdlP talked to me, chidding me for not coming back with food for everyone between matches and saying, jokingly, that he thought Amercans were known for their hospitality. And they all wanted to know if I'd be at DC.

Will try to upload my pics to Snapfish later today and will send you the link.

OMG...I didn't realize that we were joking with guys close to Horacio and Fena (and I'm sure Nico too). The guy that left last year as president with the CTF was a nice guy too - he was really excellent, and it was a shame that he felt the need to not seek re-election. Too long of a story but he got caught in the middle of a ridiculous power struggle. I'll have to see if I can find a picture of him so I can see which guy he was.

Looking forward to the pictures - I haven't gotten mine all up yet but will finish by the weekend.

Wish I was going to the DC tie. I tried but too expensive right after Miami.

And did you see the news on our Horacio? Looks like he and Fernando are going their separate ways. I'm devastated. I can't imagine Fernando without Horacio and not seeing Horacio at all of Fernando's practices and matches.

Of course that I saw the news about Fernando and Horacio but it seems, at least according to the press, that it's just a break and that they'll meet again in MonteCarlo ... for the first time I want to believe in what the press is saying 'cause I hate this switching coaches thing!! I want them together!
