10 albums!? impossible to choose

Nothing beats my six favorite Beatles albums:

A Hard Day's Night
Rubber Soul
Revolver
Sgt. Pepper
White Album
Abbey Road

Also Past Masters II (Beatles singles compiled)

some others:

Led Zeppelin III
Liz Phair: Exile in Guyville
Radiohead: The Bends and OK Computer
Pearl Jam: Ten
Nirvana: Nevermind

I'm not even considering classical music and jazz here. There are countless great albums in those genres.

Actually I like every one of Radiohead's albums. But The Bends and OK Computer are the ones I listen to the most.

so Westlife is wellknown in the US or is it just you? I don't have a very good view on which European artists are known in the USA, I would like to know. I've understood that Robbie Williams is a complete stranger, he's really big over here. Kylie is known but not really huge I guess: I've seen her pass by on that trl-thing on mtv which is broadcasted in all of the US, not? (what do those letters stand for btw?) And Radiohead and Coldplay are as big as everywhere. And the lovely Björk is pretty comparable too from what I know. Who else? (any Belgian bands? ha ha just kiddin!)

Westlife never really broke in the US. I think they mighta had one song that did well but that's about it. Robbie Williams is pretty much unknown though in Canada he's a little more visible. Same story with Kylie though she's a little more on the radar than Robbie. TRL stands for Total Request Live.

well let me think...a few years back oasis was really big in the states...and radiohead as well...coldplay is really big right now..considering that their cd has already sold over 9million copies and that they sold out every single one of their concerts when they went on tour for a rush of blood to the head..robbie williams and kylie are both well known as well as U2...popularity by TRL...considering that plenty of people that make it on the show dont get very good sales i wouldnt say that..:)..im sure their are more but i just cant think..

btw..def lepard is very known:shrug:

Westlife have tried to come to the US Twice... I heard about them when I went to London in 1999 right when they were coming out. then a friend from Spain gave me their first CD and I loved it so I've purchased them from a UK Music site from then on :) I like other European artists like Ronan, Darren Hayes (he's Australian but does well in Europe), etc.

Robbie Williams is pretty unknown too but they've tried to get him on big shows (I remember when he was on Leno and gave Katie Couric a lap dance LMAFO!!!)

:wavey: Great names, never heard of Vertical Horizon and Múm, who are they? I'm just discovering Tricky's solo stuff, 'Vulnerable' is stuck in my player these days. I was LMAO at Jewel's latest single, she really wasn't kiddin' when she said she wanted to go more like Britney. So the album is more like that  ?! (*having doubts on the musical taste of Belgians, but some are allright)
