REMINDER

The comp will be tipping with a points spread. The spreads are released every Wednesday morning. You CAN put your tips in earlier, but that will be without the benefit of seeing the spreads.

It's pretty simple. Basically instead of having the option of picking who will simply win a match, you have to actually predict the winner based on what is called a "points spread"

e.g. This Friday night:

St George -6.5 v Tigers +6.5

So now you have to predict whether St George will win by more than 6.5 points OR whether the Tigers will get within 6.5 points of St George. Lets now say that the final score is St George 24 Tigers 20

If you picked Tigers to "cover" the spread i.e. get within 6.5 points (Tigers +6.5), you will be credited with the win, even though St George actually won the game. Of course if the Tigers end up winning the game outright, it is a moot point as they obviously got within the 6.5 points by winning the game, however you will not get any extra points if that happens.

Hope this clears it up

Andrew you lucky prick - I had Broncos +5.5 and was on my way to the sweep if not for their pathetic collapse in the second half

lol. I didnt know I had a perfect round until I logged on last night, I thought I took the Raiders. When I was putting my tips in a mate was here, and I said yeah Ill take Raiders -2.5, Tigers have been hopeless lately. My mate said yeah but the Raiders lost to Souths a few weeks back take the Tigers, so I did :D

Also in regards to the Federer - Gasquet odds last night from betfair.

Federer was $1.48 after he lost the first set.

Then when he was 0-40 on his first service match he got out to $2.05

Once he got back to 30-40 his odds went back to $1.50.
