Vamos!!! :bounce:

 He has to...our very own KidNicky is going to her first live tournament to see our Nico!

And you were right about that he'll be 43 or 44 - Judio is also saying 44. And Nico wants to be in the top 40 for the European clay court season. He knows that he doesn't do as well in IW or Miami as on clay so I think that he'll be really pushing for points in Acapulco. I could be wrong, but I know that when he decided to play in Brasil, he said that he really wanted to do well in both Brasil and Acapulco.

I read that Nico will think about to play in Acapuldo or not because he is a bit tired ;)

Oh no. :(

I wouldn't care becuase I'm sure he is tired and needs the rest except Kid is on her way there..

Poor Kid if he does decide to withdraw. She has so looked forward to seeing Nico, and its so expensive to go and not see who you want to see - and really Nico is the only one she cares about seeing.

Hopefully he'll go - he said in an interview in Radio Cooperativa that he wasn't go to withdraw.

Thank goodness for Kid, looks like he's playing. The draw came out so late that I can't imagine that he wouldn't have given them notice before they did it if he wasn't going to play.

Nice little draw. :yeah:

Poor Marcos Daniel - he may get stuck playing Nico again - he's going to be having nightmares about Nico!

Gaston's a sweetie, but of course, I must root for my Nico if they both make it to the QFs (sorry Elea and Lovely   ).

I would love to see Nico do well here because it takes him awhile to get used to hardcourts so he might have problems in IW and maybe even Miami so I'd like to see him get as many points as he can on the Latin America swing.

...no seriously, he has to be ruthless, like Roger over Hewitt. :P

Sounds nice in theory to have pity, but in reality - yeah, no mercy. :p

Last year when he was having so much trouble coming back, I don't recall anyone - player or fans - having much mercy or compassion for him that's for sure.

I just talked to Kid from Acapulco! :woohoo:

She's having an awesome time!

Nico was really nice to her - she talked to him, got an autograph, got her picture taken with him. I'm so happy for her! :)

She's taken a lot of pictures - I can't wait to see them!

That lucky lucky girl! I wish I had the courage to try to talk to Nico!

Is more easy talk with Nico out of Chile

Yeah.

But I think that could be said for any player. If I wanted to get an autograph from James here in the States, it would be next to impossible - there's always a million people around him.

But if I were in Chile, I could probably just walk up to him with hardly anyone around.

So that means senorita Fergie that you'll have to travel someday to a tournament outside of Chile so you can say 'hola' to both Nico and Fernando! :yeah: :D

25 hours from Brazil to Acapulco???

Poor Nico.

From latercera.cl:

To his arrival to Mexico, Nicolas Massú (44º) declared that owed to the physical wear that he has had in the last few weeks itself not too much in the tournament will be required of Acapulco, where debuts this night before the Argentine Carlos Berloq (78º).

After obtaining his sixth crown last week in Costo do Sauipe, playing five days in a consecutive way, the viñamarino had a flight of twenty-five hours to Aztec lands.

"I am calm. I am going to try to do possible the best. Itself that arrive with various matches in the body, but me do not I be going to require more than what I can give", said the "Vampire" to the official page of the ATP.

"Were 25 hours of trip. I arrived today (yesterday) to half a day and already tomorrow I have to debut", complained Massú, although has also a prescription: "It ideal is to be recovered well and to try not to play very long matches".

Regarding this same theme, the double Olympic champion recognized that is not according to that some tournaments finalize the day Saturday, like Costo do Sauipe and Acapulco, owed al exhaustion.

"To me I like for nothing. It ideal would be that the tournaments finished Sunday, but one has to be willing that if they plan it for Tuesday, and the contest finishes on Saturday, to play every day", explained.

Finally, Massú analyzed with more tranquility the title that obtained in the Brazil Open, aiming that with that result has to its there to be three ends in the four tournaments that understand the South American tour.

"I am very pleased with the sixth title of my career, besides that the happiness is double because was a week in which I was playing of less to more, in a tournament that for me has not gone well", began saying.

"Happy, besides, because now in the four tournaments of the South American tour, in two I have reached the end", finalized Massu.

Juan lost 6-4, 6-7 (4), 0-3, - having retired with cramp in the third set. Mind you - this only came out about an hour after the scoreboard said he had won 6-4, 6-3................so now you know what I mean about the scoreboard sucking!! Actually - I just laughed - you had to - it was pure theatre!!!!!! Juan was tired after last week - he needs some time off - I am not sad that he lost - just a bit irritated at the scoreboard fiasco. So good luck to you all and your guy tnight - I am going to bed :wavey:

Oh poor Juan - there's rough to be cramping up.

But he does need a rest, and he's played well last week.

 about the sb. This sucks - no excuse to have wrong scores. I know this sounds loca  , but I think that tennis fans everywhere should UNITE and COMPLAIN!!! :haha: I used to do lobbying in Washington - we had some tricks that could work well to get the ATP's attention. ;)

I'm not expecting much from Nico tonight - I think that in his heart and mind, he wants to go out there and get more points on the LA swing before hardcourts at IW and Miami. But he's gotta be tired so I wonder if his body will cooperate. So if he loses, I'll only be sad cuz Kid is there watching him.

Hey! I'm here :wavey:

Not happy 'cause he lost (and I wasn't there so this is killing me) but is good to know that he'll rest now. Besides poor Daniel 4 in a row would have been to much for him :p

I'll post the pics asap. Rosie, Juan is so sweet. I really was looking for a big punch in my face 'cause I asked his autograph after his match  but he was kind with me. No good pictures of him 'cause in the match I was far away and the sun was killing me.

Elea and Lovely, I really adore Gaston  and besides HE OWNS ME ONE!!!!! I got his autograph in my tennis ball and I asked him for a picture with me (this was on tuesday) but he was leaving for his room and I didn't want to botter him so I said to him while he was signing my ball "Gaston could you take a picture with me or are you in a hurry?" he looked at me and smiled and said " We'll do it tomorrow okay?" he was so sweet that I couldn't say nothing else, of course that I couldn't see him yesterday so I'm waiting for the pic ha ha!!!

All the argentinians are so nice, except you know who that people here already hates him  And about Nico, what can I say, he's just the biggest sweetheart on earth, I just adore him and if someone else say again that he's the opposite I personally will kick his or her butt :fiery:

I think that we need to make a chat for this :haha: otherwise it'd be a LONG LONG post ..... Thanks for beign so happy for me, I was thinking about you all the time.

I just want to say that I've never been so proud of beign a Nico Fan and that I just adore him!!! and can I say that the man is the most beautiful guy that I've ever seen  Gaston and Calleri too but Nico is just the greatest for me

damn! this is a real bummer! I've been trying to post all day and nothing :ras: hopefully this time will work and Elea and Rosie won't think that I don't want to answer them :p

Gaston is a real cutie, I suffer a lot in his first match, is just that is so hard to see them mad and saying bad things to themselves like Gaston and Nico do, but thank God that he can recovered himself !! oh and it was su funny 'cause there was a guy that it was like Gaston's clon lol! I saw him talking with Lucho Horna and I ran behind him thinking that was Gaston and nothing  and when I wasn't looking to him suddenly he came out from the dressing rooms and then when where I asked for the pic, but you know that still owns me that :p

Rosie  your Juan is really sweet and he's playing very well, I guess like you said the last time, is just a little more of experience 'cause he gave his best during the 2 first sets and of course that Chela got more at the end than Juan. And I really don't know what happened to me! Is just that he was walking in front of me and I asked for his autograph, I completely forgot that he just retired from his match, so I really would have desearve a punch in my face but he didn't do it :p

And btw that day (during the autographs) I saw Gaston and Juan, both shirtless :p oh yeah, I suffered a lot in Acapulco

oh and forgot to say again that I ADORE NICO!!!!!!! :inlove: 2 pics with him and to know from his own mouth his practice time is just priceless :haha:
