Well, tell me guys.. I'm really curious!!

11-05-2003, 04:21 PM
:haha: Definitley NOT the 'el peludo'!!! :D
Of the choices you give me I'd go with the eyes - I think they often look melancholy and a bit sad, but that just adds to his overall charm! If I could choose something not on your list I'd say his smile or his voice :worship:
But on a more serious note I want to stress that I really like his game as well. I think he plays entertaining tennis and I just love it when he mixes it up a lot, you know, between the baseline and the net. I like that he usually always hit a ball in a surprising or spectacular way, at least once every match. And that he's such a good sport - losing gracefully to Clément in that famous semifinal, convincing the umpire about the double bounce during his match against Ferrero in Wimbledon
And he even seems to be a nice person as well!
Just curious: what do you think yourself?

11-05-2003, 04:28 PM
Oh, just noticed the smiley next to 'bottom' - you can't mean that! I'm not a bottom kind of person, just like I don't fancy a lot of bodyhair, but I may be in the minority, for all I know. I normally go for legs (now I sound like I'm eating chicken), eyes, hairdos & voices. In Grosjean I've finally found all-in-one!!! Though his legs are possibly a bit on the short side...Marat Safin's got the perfect legs, but even though he is handsome too I prefer Grosjean.

11-05-2003, 09:32 PM
i fully agree with his eyes. we always call them "sleepy eyes". so sweet. he always is looking soooooo tired. but i like that. and i like alot the way he´s speaking english. in generel his voice. so quite and shy. just nice :)

11-06-2003, 07:19 AM
LOL @ el peludo...

neway after giving this MUCH thought i would say...
1) overall charm inc. niceness...cuteness...adorableness...kawwaii-ness...etc etc lool
2) game...his shotmaking and how he can pull off just the most AMAZING shots when you'd least expect...
3) the way he talks/voice (despite what liz may say)

11-06-2003, 07:23 AM
*talks like seb*

yeeeeeeeeee hehehehehee

11-06-2003, 07:42 AM

he speaks cuter than paulo or richie will NE DAY!! :P

11-06-2003, 09:46 AM
Hmmmm, I had to think a while about this one.

EYES: I definitely like the colour and shape of his eyes, but I also like his nose, his dimples, bags under eyes, roguish look, hair; in short: his face.

LEGS: well, they’re a bit short but he has very muscular thighs (as far as they can be seen – his shorts almost reach his knees).

GAME: Yes, I enjoy Seb’s game immensely. I like his passing shots, I like the concentrated look on his face when he serves, I like how he jumps up and turns simultaneously as he hits the ball, I like the way he washes his mouth with his drink during the breaks (well actually that’s not really his game, is it).

PELUDO: Maybe I have to wait for the Passing Potes to give my opinion (is there a shirtless photograph of Seb in it?). In general I don’t like too much chest hair on a man, but I don’t like hairless chests either (once had a boyfriend with almost no chest hair and we used to count them - about 15 there were if I remember well - and he’d be mock in a state if we counted one less). Gathering from your reactions Seb has a lot. Well, lets just hope he doesn’t wear that cap because he is getting bald (remember Agassi with that absurd pony tail sticking out from under his cap?! Pathetic!).

BOTTOM: Usually I watch men’s bottoms, but I can’t see much of Seb’s in those huge shorts. But on the subject of shorts: I like his clothes. I think Seb wears them very stylish, more so than other players. But maybe he’s one of those people who can wear anything and still look stylish – I even found that that blue thing he wore around his thigh for a few months looked very sexy on him whereas most players just look ridiculous with bandages, or whatever it’s called. And I don’t think we’ll ever see him in a silly sleeveless woolly shirt as sported by Tim Henman during their quarter final at Wimbledon.

I have to like a player’s game and looks & personality (don't know him of course but he seems really nice and charming) to be a real fan and I cannot pick only one thing. So, what do I like best about Seb? SEB!
But if you’d force me to choose something from your list, I’d go for the eyes.

11-06-2003, 10:58 AM
You know, the really difficult thing about this poll is that you just want to say EVERYTHING ;) . I love his bedroom eyes, but I also adore his smile and dimples. As for his clothes, he seems to favour the baggy style, big shorts, big thsirts, and as you so rightly pointed out, Wilma, it makes it impossible to judge his behind and his legs properly. Generally I don't care much for big muscular thighs - makes most people look fat and bulky, even more so if you've got short legs. If we were talking of any other man on this planet, I would probably not like his legs at all - but as it is Grosjean I think they're great! But I have to admit that I wouldn't rate his body as the best in the world of tennis. It's the face that I worship - that and the voice and the flamboyant playing style! I know I'm being illoyal, but frankly I think Nalbandian has a much better looking upper body, especially his shoulders, while Safin's got the ideal legs and everybody around 185 has the perfect height.
Grosjean probably wouldn't win a beauty contest ever, but he scores high on CUTENESS and being sweetnatured, softspoken, and charming!
What do you people think?

11-06-2003, 11:58 AM
I totally agree with you Ubrunjensen

11-06-2003, 12:03 PM
I already like you so much, Wilma, coz you agree with me! Never thought I'd fiind another person who'd also think Nalbandian has great shoulders!

11-06-2003, 01:11 PM
Hey Wilma,
if you want to have a look at el peludo ;) have a look on page 5 of the 'Meeting Grosjean' thread.I had to crop it slightly but it's still

As for the poll, send him over here for a few days and I'll let you know the results of my research at a later date ;)

11-06-2003, 03:43 PM
Ha ha, great poll!! I love his eyes but just for good measure I voted for his hairy chest. Go Sebas!!!

11-06-2003, 03:44 PM

he speaks cuter than paulo or richie will NE DAY!! :P

I agree.

But..what do you think liz, about his voice ? what's the problem ??

11-06-2003, 06:06 PM
Just curious: what do you think yourself?

What do I think myself?!! As you guys are all saying, I like also all the pionts.. Although I gotta say that I actually love him so much because of his game, it's still the most important thing. I mean what Wilma was saying with the jump before he hits the ball, and his speed , that amazing.. When the opponent hits the ball so good, SO GOOd that nobody can return it, than Seb can.. It's always so good to see.

I would go for..... his eyes also. I actually also voted the first and I choose that one. It's true that you don't see his bottom.. I don't know if you can say that he dresses stylish on court.. I don't even think that you even CAN dress stylish when you are in you sportswear.. But it's true that when you compare Seb to Carlos Moya, than I have to say that Moya's shirt is so how can I say it... doesn't look good at all, but that's what I think..

THANX Sebgrosfan

11-06-2003, 10:00 PM
i think Seb's voice is ok,it doesnt sound as gayish as Arnaud's! :p
the things i most like of him arent in this list: his sweetness and his kindness, and also his cute smile.

11-07-2003, 12:01 AM
But..what do you think liz, about his voice ? what's the problem ??

MAYBE its just when he speaks English and MAYBE it's just how he was speaking on the ATP show yesterday......but its....very...... feminin no?? Whats the word....ohh I don't know...I just prefer voices that are a bit deeper than that..his is to squeaky...but I will stop cos this is Seb appreciation thread not a Liz can pick on Seb whom many people love thread......he is a nice guy...I give you that much...and I do like how he flicks his hair with the back of his hands.....very elegant.

Girls besides Marine, Vale and Esther who don't really know me.... I really don't hate Seb, I just like to pick on him cos it's so uncanny humour if you will....just thought I'd clear that up...incase I get attacked in my sleep! LOL - I joke...

YAY FOR SEB :yippee:

11-07-2003, 10:08 AM
Feminine??? You must be joking! It's not feminine, it's SOFT, it's like velvet, it's just sweet and a little breathless, a bit boyish, maybe...ok, you're right, Lizabeth, it's probably not the most MANLY voice I ever heard, but then I don't really care for big, booming bas voices, and I think his voice suits him perfectly. Pick on his chubby cheeks, if you like ;) , or his hairy chest and short legs - ha ha - but his voice is strictly off limits!
:awww: And you saw him on the ATP show...I'm figurally speaking blubbing all over the place :bigcry: coz I missed out - would have loved to see him flick back his hair ever so elegantly! And listen to his...hmmm...SOFT voice.
Who's talking about GAYISH voices, Lindsayfan? Don't think I've ever heard Clément speak so can't really compare.

11-07-2003, 10:11 AM
Wait! Speaking about the ATP show: what did he have to say? What did he look like? Gimme details!

11-07-2003, 10:19 AM
LOL - Ok's 'soft' :p

Ummm I can't really remember what he said...esther will tell you - But I know he said something about wanting to win Roland was a black and white interview...all the interviews they do with players are...ummm there was part of another interview they did with him and then they just showed him playing at various I said...esther will give you the low down...Im sure she was much more attentive than I ;)

11-07-2003, 11:05 AM
How anyone can be distracted while watching Grosjean is beyond me...

11-07-2003, 02:08 PM
Wow Alison, thank you. Went looking straight away. I guess it makes a lot of difference if you already like a guy very much whether you find the peludo repulsive or not. Was very distracted by his face, though. Mmmm. I'll wait for the book (it's from the book, isn't it?) to see his full bushy torso.

And Ulla, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I meant that you have to like everything about Seb, not Nalbandian's shoulders (he's not bad, though - like to watch him play).

11-07-2003, 03:44 PM
Huge disappointment, Wilma...will no one ever discover that I'm so right about Nalbandian? But yes, indeed, he's also a very solid player with a diehard attitude on court. I like that he never gives in, he's actually pretty good at everything.
What's wrong with Grosjean's face? He looks a bit strained, but I just thought it was becoz he suddenly realized he'd grown HORRIBLY HAIRY! Ha ha!

11-07-2003, 09:06 PM
Not only is Seb "el Peludo" but he is "el guapo" and 'el precioso" and many more (i could have fun with this). Can anyone think of some other cute names?

I've never seen anyone so gorgeous when they are losing a game - he has the most amazing "loser face". You know when some players lose a game and they just look downright scary?

I know it wasn't in the poll, but I want to mention his dimples. I just worship them! :worship:

11-07-2003, 11:17 PM
i think Seb's voice is ok,it doesnt sound as gayish as Arnaud's! :p

11-08-2003, 12:38 AM
......he is a nice guy...I give you that much...and I do like how he flicks his hair with the back of his hands.....very elegant.

YAY FOR SEB :yippee:

Loooool hey i'm surprised you caught that considering you were pissing yourself laughing throughout the whole thing... ;)

11-08-2003, 12:39 AM
i'm goign to start a thread for this so it is told about properly loool

11-08-2003, 12:40 AM
lizan- u may need to add a few more options onto the poll hehe

11-08-2003, 10:12 AM
But 'el peludo' is not cute! At least I never intended it to be so, ha ha. For me it's the opposite. Now 'el precioso' is different, that's sweet, like Pumpkin. Of all his names I prefer Seb, it's short and to the point, and I love the way Grosjean rolls off your tongue.

11-08-2003, 12:22 PM
Yeah Esther I think you are right .. I should have added Dimples, Voice and... I will do better next time.. Look and this cute picture..

11-08-2003, 02:14 PM
To conclude with his voice...
I don't know how it sounds in english, never heard, but I think you, girls, are a bit obesseded with these gayish things...their voices are as feminin as Guy Forget's one !

I'm fed up with these insinuations..

11-08-2003, 11:51 PM
thanks for that pic lizan :)
i think i have that but not as big as that lol

11-10-2003, 08:16 PM
You are very welcome.. Hehe I like to show u guys pictures, can't help it  :D
Especcialy when it's seb, my cutey sweety darling baby.. Unfortunatly there isn't much to say about Seb anymore (man I miss keeping by the score, the tension) so I'm gonna talk about Esther's 3d favorite, JC Fererro. I just saw him on tv, and I'm sorry to say that he didn't play well, he did play some good points..

I gotta say that I have always thought that he was only a good clay-player, but he really played good on all surfaces the last few months or maybe year. He really surprised me at wimbledon, playing well on grass, and because of that it wasn't a surprise that he was in the final of US Open.. so he really deserves to be number 1, although he isn't now.

11-11-2003, 07:52 AM
jc didn't seem all that inspired, but maybe nalbandian was that good. he's a bit plump, isn't he, i mean nalbandian. the commentator was breathing very loudly into the microphone - was very distracting.
lizan, can i ask you, did you see that tennis programme on eurosport? i saw a preview (a flash of seb at make-up); later i saw that the programme was shown yesterday at around six. did i miss anything important there (i.e. seb)?!?

11-11-2003, 08:27 AM
Hey that picture is cool ,Lizan :) Thankyou!

11-11-2003, 10:09 AM
You are welcome gurl..
Uhm okay Wilma so I didn't saw it, but thank you soo much.. I'll watch it definitly tonight..

11-11-2003, 10:59 AM
Tennis programme on Eurosport? Was it only last night or will it pop up tonight as well? It's such a sad thing he doesn't play any more tournaments this year. No more waiting for the latest results, no more cursing Danish tv for not showing any tennis. It's back to boring tv and no Grosjean. What did you do last year during the winter break?

11-11-2003, 11:06 AM
Poor Ferrero! But good for Nalbandian. And he's not plump! How can you insinuate such a thing? My sweet Nalbandian is merely...burly - is that the word? Compared to Ferrero, though, most men will look chubby, him being so delicately built. Ferrero even makes Grosjean look positively on the chubby side...

11-11-2003, 05:57 PM
oh come on ulla! he positively had some tyres around the waist!!! hey, but i do still like him... :)
there was a tennis programme at six today on eurosport, but have not watched it yet (taped it on video - will look later tonight).

11-12-2003, 07:06 AM
the eurosport programme was 'only' women tennis (masters); i had seen most of it. i think the flash that i saw (seb at make up) was the atp-show esther was talking about. but seems i missed it. :bigcry:

11-12-2003, 07:46 AM
 Tell me you're either joking or exaggerating, Wilma! Nalbandian with love handles! What a disaster! And he used to have such a lovely upper body with nice, broad shoulders....I'm in a state of shock!
But seriously, did anyone watch the match Coria-Schuettler?
 I could just strangle Coria! What on earth was the matter with him? He seemed completely out of sorts. He was alarmingly short of breath, he lacked rhythm, mistimed shots again and again (he totally misjudged a perfect lob from Schuettler), kept making loads of unforced errors, especially on his forehand...I mean, he used to be great! He won 3 titles in a row this year! I admire him a lot for his improved game, he's normally such an elegant and inspired player. Don't know what went wrong last night. But he did seem uncomfortable, and he received treatment twice. Well, yes, okay, Schuettler played a near perfect game. I think he's a bit boring to watch, but I must say he really fights for it and that he's very deft at using his potential to the maximum.
And even worse: Moya got a whipping by Roddick....if one can go by the result! Didn't see the match myself.

11-12-2003, 07:50 AM
you mean you didn't see the nalbandian match? and, well, yes i like to exaggerate a bit.
i didn't see enough of the schuetler-coria match to give an opinion. saw some nice shots from both of them though.

11-12-2003, 08:28 AM
What a relief! Nalbandian not pudgy after, sorry to report I didn't see him play, but every November 10 th I celebrate the anniversary of my arrival to Denmark, with my sister. You know, I'm adopted from South Corea, and so's my sister (my biological sister) - we travelled to Denmark together. So it seemed a bit rude and out of place to ask people to entertain themselves while I watched tennis on tv!

11-12-2003, 11:36 AM
I saw the Nalbandian match, and I must admit the first thing I said when he came on court was about the size of his stomach:eek: It was that obvious! :p

As for Coria and JC,they both looked terrible;and played the same ;),but it's been a long year I suppose :)

11-12-2003, 05:13 PM
Aha! I'm glad you agree with me, Alison. You have a chance today, Ulla, to inspect Nalbandian's contours.
Must be special to celebrate your arrival in Denmark. Do you also celebrate your birthday?

11-13-2003, 09:36 AM
I celebrate everything! Birthday, arrival day, Christmas, anniversary with my birthday is on the 4th of July, by the way. Speaking about Nalbandian: nooo, I refuse to believe it! How? Why? Okay, I really have to check it out for myself tonight. Seems my favourites are either growing FAT or playing like shit! Or not even qualified for Masters!

11-13-2003, 09:37 AM
I certainly know how to pick them, don't I?

11-13-2003, 12:12 PM
Seems my favourites are either growing FAT or playing like shit! Or not even qualified for Masters!

Oh,Ulla, that really made me laugh :haha:

11-13-2003, 12:14 PM
The way some of them are playing though,I don't think they deserve to be there. And as for calling it the 'Masters' ,don't make me laugh :p

I know who's my number one,and even without a title this year,he's played some brilliant tennis and I can't wait to see him play again :)

11-13-2003, 12:41 PM
The sad thing is that he did have the opportunity to qualify for the second time, but didn't make the most of it. How much more interesting the Masters would have been with Grosjean in the draw! And now we have to make do with an unrecognizable Ferrero, who's out and won't win back the number one spot - and a chubby Nalbandian who got run over by Federer - I mean, 6-0 in the second set??? What was the FAT Argentinian thinking? Not to mention skinny Coria and his goddamn awful performance against Schuettler! No one left to cheer for, only Federer. He's kindda okay, but not too exciting - and then there's poor Moya with nothing going for him, apart from the nationality, and my number one aversion, Andy Roddick...imagine the spoiled brat with the Masters title AND the year-end number one spot!!! I could just scream! Agassi I don't even want to think about. Still remember him from the late 80's, with the colourful clothes and the disgusting long hair - he's won everything there is to win, as if he needs to win the Masters yet again! GRRAA!!!
So that leaves us with Federer as the only winner I could just about accept. Don't really think either Coria or Nalbandian are serious contenders.
No, without Grosjean the Masters is a boring tournament, devoid of excitement...

11-13-2003, 12:43 PM
By the way, Alison, like your avatar! It's pretty new, isn't it?

11-13-2003, 01:12 PM
Thanks,Ulla :) Yes,I finally managed to change my avatar.I have another picture too,but it won't crunch to the right size :p I shall keep trying! ;)

11-13-2003, 01:47 PM
i know the feeling. there's not much fun watching a tournament when your favourite player isn't there. am just watching the matches now for the lacoste commercial, with a split second of a really fabulous seb. although i'm actually looking forward to the match agassi-nalbandian. i hope nalbandian can play a little better than he did against federer. but as much as i hate to say it, it looks like another andy roddick victory. btw, on dutch ceefax it said that his girlfriend was there to watch his first match: "pop star & film star mandy moore". who the hell is mandy moore???? never heard of her.

11-13-2003, 01:52 PM
am just watching the matches now for the lacoste commercial, with a split second of a really fabulous seb.

I thought I was the only one ;)

It's a very nice commercial that one :) ,a shame it isn't any longer ;)

11-13-2003, 01:58 PM
I've just had a look on Mandy Moore's web site, and I'm afraid I'm still none the wiser.I've never heard of any films she's been in

11-13-2003, 02:15 PM
ah thanks alison, just had a peep myself. i've never heard of the films she's been in and the music sounds very bland to me: some 80s and 90s covers with an orchestra as musical score. well, as long as andy's happy with her...

and yes, the lacoste-commercial is really great. i've actually videotaped it!

11-13-2003, 02:19 PM
btw i saw some video clips on the eurosport site - one where some tennis players visit real madrid. there's a glance of seb talking to zidane. you all probably know of it already, but with my new computer i visit places where i couldn't get before, so it was new for me.

11-13-2003, 03:58 PM
Oh, the wonderful videoclip with Real Madrid! It just couldn't get any better: my favourite tennis player meeting my favourite football team!
About the Lacoste commercial: are you talking about a new one made especially for the Masters, or do they just reuse the old one from US Open? I watched the US Open only to get a glimpse of Grosjean's face in the commercial! Sad, but true...
Anyway, I want to see Nalbandian redeeming himself against Agassi, if that's possible at all. And try and deceive myself into believing he hasn't grown chubby!

11-13-2003, 04:08 PM
Well, that commercial seems to be a huge success. It's still the same one Ulla. I wasn't able for days to watch tennis after Seb had lost in the first round of the US open, but the commercial was a tiny consolation. Bit daft thought: "lacoste for champions" or something, whereas none of the players were actually playing after second round...
I read in another thread that Nalbandian maybe needs surgery, so I'm not putting my hopes on him. Glad to see you finally came to your senses though and admit to him being 'chubby'.

11-13-2003, 04:23 PM
ubrunjensen, in tennis magazine, there is pics of the tennismen with the real with ferrero and Beckam, and...the best of the best, Seb speaking with Zidane ! Even that Zizou is citer than seb on the pic ! :inlove:

11-13-2003, 04:34 PM
Well now Seb is not playing, I'm concentrating on Federer. I know you guys don't like him, but I do.. He is my second favorite. He is just so you know good lol..
But Alright, I didn't really understand what you two were saying.. Has lacoste have a new commercial or sth?? I gotta admid that I didn't really payed attencion when I read it, because I had a tough day and there were to many difficult words in there ..

And you guys don't know Mandy Moore?? She actually was quite famaus a few years ago, don't understand why you don't know her. She was blond back then, looks a little bit like britney, you know all that sh*t..

11-13-2003, 04:41 PM
omg, a britney clone - i'm glad i haven't noticed her then.
and no, the lacoste commercial is still the same one: with gorgeous seb flashing by.

11-13-2003, 04:44 PM
Well, I don't know either, about the Lacoste commercial. Gotta check it tonight when Nalbandian, with or without a few extra pounds around his waist, plays Agassi. Hello! I never said that I dislike Federer. He's okay, he won Wimbledon and is unquestionably a very good player, and when I saw his interview on BBC World (or was it CNN?) I rather thought he was nice and sensible. After Ferrero, Coria & Nalbandian I support Federer.
Right now I believe he's the only one who can actually challenge Roddick. Agassi is good, but is getting old. And Federer beat the crap out of Roddick in the Wimbledon final! Let's hope he can repeat that victory!

11-13-2003, 04:52 PM
OH NOOOO! The unfairness! The cruelty! Tennis Magazine with a pic of Grosjean and Real Madrid in the same article! And I can't find the mag anywhere in my city! Unless you're talking about a German one, Marine...Zidane is a great midfielder and deserves every compliment he gets and every prize he wins - but I still love Raúl & Figo more! Will never forget Figo's performance at Euro 2000 and just adore the cool aloofness of Raúl! And his goals.

11-13-2003, 06:53 PM
I don't like Figo, I prefer Raul (and I love Morientes, who plays in as monaco now, my fav' cluc)...but, you know, Zidane is a god in France !!!!

11-13-2003, 06:55 PM
I can take a pic with my digital camera, but...i don't know how to put it on this forum ?? maybe if you go to msn...

11-14-2003, 05:14 AM
Didn't get to see Nalbandian - they played like 2 am tonight, and that's too late for me, I'm teaching class today! Saw Schuettler turn into my overnight hero, for beating Roddick! Still don't know how Coria did later on, or what happened to Nalbandian, will check the scores later. Of course Zidane is a god in France - he's quite a demi-god in Denmark as well! Always thought Morientes was underrated as a player and that Real Madrid treated him very badly. The move to Monaco was a good one for him, I'm sure.

11-14-2003, 08:02 AM
Nalbandian lost! Didn't see the match either (2 am is too late for me as well) and I dont't think I can bear to watch the repeat (although the scores implied only a close win for Agassi). And hurrah, Roddick lost. Saw only the beginning and end of that match unfortunately (as I had to go to tai chi in between); Schüttler was reliable, patient and sound. Good for him. If Coria wins, Roddick won't even be in the semi final...

11-14-2003, 12:37 PM
Yes, poor Nalbandian! But the scores were pretty close so he must have put up a good fight after all. Any chance he can still make it to the semis? Oh, Schuettler's name is Schüttler? Never thought about the possibility of a German spelling even if the guy is German! But it's so great that he won! I don't usually support him, but as I really dislike Roddick I always support whomever he's up against. Now we only need Coria to shape up and beat him...and babyface Coria finally earned himself a victory, beating Moya with the hideous vest! Maybe he can pull off a surprise win and delete Roddick from Masters??? What a dream that would be! Then I wouldn't even mind Agassi winning the title...

11-14-2003, 12:48 PM
hey everyone couldnt be screwed making another thread but go to french musketeers forum or go to and register!!!! we're goign to reincarnate the site for next year

11-14-2003, 02:06 PM
I am confused Esther. What is that forum?!?

11-15-2003, 07:03 AM
sorry should have explained...
seems like ages ago, but this site closed down in like June or April or something used to be called atpworld but then they got sued lol...but neway we didnt know what to do and thought it'd never come back again so Liz made another site which we were using until this came back but ever since this came back we've been neglecting that site and we like that site but just everyone came here first and then started to forget about that...

but yeah we want to get that site going again so register! :)

11-15-2003, 10:11 AM
Was the old site just about tennis in general or more like this site, about French players and Grosjean in particular?

11-15-2003, 10:16 AM
go to the site Ulla and you will see!!
but no its just french...its only like me liz marine and vale..and irish but dunno where she's gone off to to that really posted so it was more private kind of

11-17-2003, 11:43 AM
well, my registration on that site doesn't seem to work; I'll try later, am very busy (very much behind schedule with current translation job).

11-17-2003, 02:59 PM
Anything involving worshipping Grosjean is okay by me! So I registered and have already posted my first message. It's a cool-looking site, Liz & Esther! But will need to wait for translation of all the French articles before I can actually contribute...
You must try later, Wilma - we seem to be a small and very exclusive club!

11-17-2003, 05:36 PM
I like the look of the site and I will try later when I feel a bit more relaxed (I think I registered, but didn't seem to be able to post anything)

11-18-2003, 06:24 AM
wilma- are u still having troubles? there was this ongoing problem with passwords before but if thats happening to neone then it's easily fixed

11-18-2003, 10:13 AM
Esther, I registered and I got a password. But when I tried to post sth a message said that there was already a member with the same name - although I guess that was actually me. Help! Am split personality! I will try again though.

11-18-2003, 03:08 PM
Help! Am split personality!
Ma ha, LOL, you so funny, Wilma! :p
But seriously, I got that same message too, can't remember how it all got solved...but somehow it now works and I can post messages and all. Hope you're allowed to join us soon at the funky French site!

11-18-2003, 04:03 PM
It doesn't allow me to go post messages either. I am a member but can't post

11-18-2003, 07:01 PM
Try again, Lizan, it works after a while.

11-19-2003, 03:28 PM
Does it work with you now?? It's strange to talk english with you .. Okay I will keep trying!

11-19-2003, 03:37 PM

11-19-2003, 06:26 PM
why you are talking in dutch??? :)

11-19-2003, 06:34 PM
It doesn't look like german... except arbeit, i don't understand ! lol

11-19-2003, 09:14 PM
hehe, is it that difficult? So many people say dutch is a really difficult language. But it's not weird cause nobody learns it in secundairy school..

Sorry for talking in dutch but it was a little bit easier for now..

11-20-2003, 03:47 PM
I have got another sort of question-thingy (like what Ulla did, like those things). But I didn't wanted to start another tread so just put it with this poll tread.. It's all ATP questions..

1) Best goodlooking (no no you are not allowed to answer Ferrero .)??
2) Worst looking (after Stepanek right Esther hehe)??
3) Who would you like to be just friends with?
4) Who would make the best dadda??
5) Who would be the most fun??
6) Who do you think is the most boring??
7) Who is the most irritating?? And why?
8) Most inspiring player?

My answers:

1) Tommy Robredo
2) So after Stepanek I'm thinking that would be Felix Mantilla..
3) Goran Ivanisevic and Seb
4) Tommy Robredo awwww
5) That's easy Goran and Reamon Sluiter
6) Tim Henman
7) Andre Agassi with his little but fast steps, it really ennoyes me..
8) I would say Pete Sampras but can't say coz it's only about players who are playing right now, so I would say uhmmmmm Seb..

11-20-2003, 05:23 PM
:yeah: Great questions, Lizan!

1. Bestlooking: Surprise! No, not Ferrero - or Grosjean, for that matter! If I try to be impartial I would have to say Marat Safin. He's handsome.

2. Worstlooking: a tie between Taylor Dent with the horseface & Xavier Malisse with the Neanderthal-face.

3. Just friends: You mean like friend opposed to lover??? Grosjean, of course! And Coria. And Ferrero. And Nalbandian. And...

4. Best dad: Have no idea. If I go by the pix Kafelnikov seems to be a nice dad.

5. Most fun: If they are like the way they play, I'd say Younes el Aynaoui or maybe Santoro.

6. Most boring: Henman/Hewitt. Nuff said...

7. Most irritating: Roddick! The attitude, the arrogance, the grunting, the short: EVERYTHING!!!

8. Most inspiring player: I'm not sure you remember these guys, but I'd say Mats Wilander, king of clay, & Yannick Noah, king of cool! But, okay, if you mean players who actually still play...Grosjean, certainly! Anyway, he's the guy who inspires me the most! :worship:  ;)

What about the rest of you out there?

11-20-2003, 05:37 PM
@lizan i like to hear and read dutch. doesnt matter for me. just wanted to know why you were talking in dutch :) really a shame that we dont learn dutch in school. would be so great. so we have to learn by ourselves. hope it works a little bit

11-21-2003, 03:48 AM
1) Best goodlooking
Sorry...but Ferrero.

2) Worst looking??
Lol you keep trying to restrict my answers! but yeah i'd say Stepanek or Dent

3) Who would you like to be just friends with?
Umm I dunno...Arnaud, Seb, Coria, JC...

4) Who would make the best dadda??
I think El Aynaoui

5) Who would be the most fun??

6) Who do you think is the most boring??

7) Who is the most irritating?? And why?
Roddick. U know why. Hewitt...same reason

8) Most inspiring player?
Coria or Seb

11-21-2003, 09:56 AM

3) Who would you like to be just friends with: SEB AND, ALTHOUGH NOT PLAYING ANYMORE, BORIS BECKER.
5) Who would be the most fun: SEB, RAEMON SLUITER,
6) Who do you think is the most boring: AS A PLAYER: SCHALKEN, SCHÜTTLER, VERKERK
8) Most inspiring player: SEB (NATURELLEMENT)

11-21-2003, 02:34 PM

And why does this sentence remind me of the Eurovision Song Contest...? My feeble brain still can't understand how the brothers Olsen ever managed to win with their corny "Fly on the Wings of Love" or whatever it was called! Just loathed it so much!

11-21-2003, 03:10 PM
Hehe  esther yeah I'm sorry, I just had to say that you couldn't choose Ferrero coz I know everybody would say that, or at least some.. So I wanted to hear someone else on that question..

Wilma, you wanna be friends with Boris Becker?? OMG.. I don't like him at all, he is so I don't know. Brr No I don't like him.. The rest of your answers were perfectos hehe

11-21-2003, 03:13 PM
1) Best goodlooking: Paulo
2) Worst looking: Korda
3) Who would you like to be just friends with: seb, arnaud, Sampras
4) Who would make the best dadda: Seb, who uses to take Lola to school and to disneyland in week-end when he is in Floridia
5) Who would be the most fun: Arnaud !
6) Who do you think is the most boring: spanish players !
7) Who is the most irritating and why: Ferrero, because everybody (girls only ! lol) love him, and I don't know why...
8) Most inspiring player: Pete :hearts:

11-21-2003, 04:12 PM
YES, I LOVE the Eurovision Song Contest and I LOVE Boris Becker. I get psychiatric treatment for it though.

11-21-2003, 09:01 PM
lol marine @ everyone loving ferrero and not knowing why...that was EXACTLY LIKE ME AND RODDICK...but thankfully everyone has realised the truth

11-22-2003, 07:49 AM
Great! I like BB as well, don't understand why people dislike him? He's fun and makes clever statements on tennis. And he used to be a very entertaining player with a great serve and excellent footwork. As for the Eurovision Song Contest: I saw it the last couple of years and must admit I rather enjoyed it, only because the songs were pretty awful and the dressing rather was SUCH FUN!!! My friends and I usually make bets on top 5 and last 3, just to make it all more exciting. I was right about Turkey this year.
Hey! What do you mean: only girls like Ferrero??? Are you implying that we only like him for his good looks? He isn't that goodlooking, and I like him most for his claycourt skills and graceful way of playing. But yeah, it helps that he's easy on the eye as well!

11-22-2003, 08:11 AM
ok hottest: FERRERO

cutest (i had to add it in otherwise i'd feel so guilty): ARNAUD

best dad: el aynaoui and corretja...he's sooo cutee (he'd be a really good husband to i i'm not thinking anything esther)

friends: coria, ARNAUD, ferrero, mathieu moncourt lol liz, el aynaoui, kuerten, lapentti

most boring: everyone seems to say henman so i'll try and find someone else...hmmm i'll say malisse..i like the guy a lot except i'm not sure i'd be able to put up with his droning for very long

most irritating: RODDICK ugh i hate him

most inspiring: this is difficult, but i think i'll probably say el aynaoui just because he is so god damn positive all the time...and like that inspires me and he always tries to please people when he plays

11-23-2003, 02:54 PM
Ah, Ulla, I have often watched the Eurovision Song Contest with friends and it was pretty much the same here: we gave points for just about every category you could imagine. Was a lot of fun. This year’s version I watched for the first time with my little girl (she didn’t make it till the end, naturally). She was all admiration and positive joy; each act was “lovely” and “beautiful” in her eyes and ears. Must admit, that was a big step from the sarcasm and malicious remarks of previous years and I was very touched by it. We also gave points (for only three categories to keep it simple: best song, best dance, nicest outfit); I think the lowest point she gave was ‘8’ (out of 10). And it must be something in the genes: my number 1 won, and her number 1 came in second or third.
As for Boris: I think he is intelligent, sensitive and has a great sense of humour. He has done some stupid things in the past, but then again, who hasn’t?

11-24-2003, 06:46 PM
hehe so funny, I always watch Eurovision song Contest too. I really like it, but it's to bad that it's not really going in a fair way. Anyway I do like it, and I was really amazed that Belgium finished second, soo it's cool yeah!!

Wilma it's not that I don't like Becker coz of of the mistakes he made, but I don't like him for his comments. I remember one time saying something bad about sth or someone I like, so I'm like that that I don't like him anymore lol.. Anyway everybody has their on opinion and I respect everyones opinion, so lol...

11-24-2003, 07:09 PM
Oh, Belgium was second? Then my daughter's choice was third ("the Russian girls"). Guessing which country gives twelve points to what country, is certainly an entertaining category for viewers.

Lizan, I must admit I don't think Boris's tv-comments are all that great.

11-26-2003, 02:24 AM
Decided to let it all fly and answer the previously mentioned questions:

1) Best goodlooking - Feliciano Lopez and Arnaud DiPasquale (who is coming back in 2004!!!!!)

2) Worst looking?? - Agree with Esther on Stepanek (poor guy!) with Juan Balcells coming a close second

3) Who would you like to be just friends with? - Hicham Arazi would make a great drinking buddy

4) Who would make the best dadda?? Robbie Koenig is an amazing dad, have seen him many times with his son at tournaments.

5) Who would be the most fun?? - Gaudio and Zabaleta or Moya and Vicente

6) Who do you think is the most boring?? - Would say Henman, but I read that FatboySlim dj'd his wedding. Thats not boring to me! I would have to say Ferrero never looks like he's up for a party.

7) Who is the most irritating?? And why? Roddick. He's a typical American punk.

8) Most inspiring player? In terms of charity work, I think that Andre Agassi has great accomplishments, in terms of pure indomitable spirit, that award goes to Coria for such a hard fight to come back after the doping scandal.

11-26-2003, 08:03 AM
Like your list Michelle. That about Coria is so true.

Off topic: I have major problems with my new @#$%$#@ computer again (i.e. it isn't working anymore). Am now at work (have very tiny administrative job besides the translation things I do) but can't spend too much time here. Hope I will be back soon.

11-26-2003, 11:04 AM
Fatboy Slim djed Henman's wedding?!!!!!!!!
what the hell?! LOOOL

i reckon best dad would be alex corretja he's so swweet :)

sorry to hear your computers being a bitch again wilma! :(

11-26-2003, 02:41 PM
Coria and a doping scandal??? WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? I didn't know. In fact I still don't know anything about that. Why, when, what? If he ever did cheat I'm sorry to say I will have to let him go! I don't like cheaters and don't care about their excuses. As Grosjean once said: it's not just cheating, it's sheer unconsciousness! So please tell me it was all a rumour or a mistake! I really like Coria. I want to go on liking him.

11-26-2003, 07:51 PM
It's not a mistake, he doped and was suspended 1 or 2 years ago...

11-26-2003, 10:37 PM
yeah. but the whole stuff about his doping. he was able to aver that it was not his fault. and he could play again. and now, very successfull :)

11-27-2003, 04:51 AM
he was not guilty

11-27-2003, 09:40 AM
yeah. thats it :)

11-28-2003, 09:26 AM
I think these days it's even dangerous for sports persons to take something ordinary such as nose drops, as nearly every medicine/health product consists of some substance that is on the black doping list. Don't know any particulars about Coria though. Also he was very young, of course, so maybe he was lured into taking something by people around him.

Computer is still not working (due to sth I did myself, I'm afraid) but nice student from my tiny job at polytechnic college has agreed to "have a look" and told me not to worry.

11-28-2003, 10:08 AM
uhmmm he wasnt guilty was like the Ulhirach case and he didnt take illegal drugs on purpose it was in a tablet or sth

who cares it over and long gone and i dont care if ppl believe him or not coz i know he's innocent

12-01-2003, 07:59 AM
Okay, the way you explain it, it doesn't sound that bad. And of course, he must be innocent. Anyway, to make a long story short: he's back, he's good, and he's clean!

12-01-2003, 10:20 AM
bottom line- he was never guilty and shoudlnt have had to go through that. He's a fighter and everyone shoudl love him as much as we do ;) lol

01-25-2004, 01:41 PM
Can I say... the whole Grosjean? He's so nice that you cannot miss any part of this MAN. And his face... with the two... (shoot I have forgotten how to say that... the little two things next to his mouth), really sweet!

01-25-2004, 03:48 PM
Oh that's "dimples"!!! They are so so so sweet!

01-25-2004, 06:28 PM
yeah he's adorable lol.. Kelly (your name right??) I have to say that I really like your site.. Have been there a lot..

01-25-2004, 07:21 PM
Men with dimples bowl me over everytime!
And if they're also quite handsome like Grosjean it's even better!

01-26-2004, 05:52 PM
hey Ulla I see you also like Marat.. Do u think he's going to win from Roddick?? Urgh that would be fantastic!! I really hope that will happen!!

01-26-2004, 09:39 PM
Safin is ok, he can play with the best of them and has natural talent. Downside is he's a bit too temperamental - but he's got a very nice, dry kind of humour - and let's face it: he's absolutely beautiful! Probably the bestlooking guy on the ATP tour, though I prefer Grosjean! As for Safin beating Roddick...on the right day and in the right frame of mind I think the Russian could do the trick, especially if Roddick's serve isn't up to the usual standard. Without the serve he's pretty ordinary, okay, but not unique. But Safin's been away for almost a whole year, he lacks match training, and maybe his confidence isn't too...and he played a five set match against Todd Martin. Roddick's been in and out of court faster than you can say his name! I would love Safin to win, but I honestly believe that will require a miracle of some sort. I hate to say it, but Roddick seems destined for the SF.

01-27-2004, 01:22 PM
yeah probably.. Normally I don't want agassi to win anything, but when he has to play Roddick I cheer for Agassi for sure.. Marat is sooo cool. Hehehe I like his temperament.. It's cool to see when he throws his racket lol, something else for a change.. He indeed easy to look at lol..

01-27-2004, 07:10 PM
I'd better eat my own words! Safin did produce a miracle and stopped annoying Roddick from going to the SF! I'm so happy! If Grosjean has to retire and can't win the title, then I would just love to see Safin upset everybody left in the tournament! Didn't you just love the pained and angry look on Roddick's face when Safin broke his serve early in the second set? Another tough five set match for Safin, I wonder if he's able to pull off another wonderful surprise against Agassi??? I mean, Agassi got into the SF without breaking a sweat...

01-27-2004, 07:43 PM
True.. I hope Marat will win too. That would be a great surprise.. I'm glad Safin is still in the tournament, because else I would stop watching from this moment LOL.. No it's actually not that bad, but it got/will be a lot more boring now that Seb is out..

My brother was telling me that Safin won the match against Roddick, while I just assumed that Roddick won (so I didn't watch any results).. So I was really really happy.. So that was nice..
