I'll do Zagreb then if no one wants to do it. I'll get busier as the year progresses and I'm already running PTS, so I don't think I can help out too much in the future. :p

BTW, can we start the rounds at the same time as the actual tournaments starts play to ensure fairness (some people will complain about not getting to vote)? :p

I think we're doing OK. Just need to start the rounds earlier (draws come out a few days in advance) and allow second votes when rounds have dragged on for too long. :)

Guys, what are we going to do about Vina del Mar and Delray Beach? We don't have winners. At the moment Pavel leads X-Man 64 46 32 (D. Beach) and Chucho leads Gonzo 75 23 (Vina). We can either:
1. Give people more tine to vote (but the tournys are in the Previous tournamens forum and soon are going to be moved into the Archive. Not many posters go there)
2. We can call it GSM and say
Pavel d. Malisse 64 46 32 ret. and
Acasuso d. Gonzalez 75 23 ret. :p
3. Cancel the tournaments. But if we do this we should also cancel Zagreb too to be fair to all players

I'm in favor for #2.

To prevent this from happening again I think voting for the next round should start as soon as the previous round is finished and not wait until the actual round is played.

I think it depends. Certain tournaments are more popular and for those, we can start rounds at the same time as the actual tournament. For tournaments where voting is a bit too slow, we can start the 1st round once the draw comes out and then start new rounds once each round finishes. :)

Once you get past the first round, you should have enough voters involved to finish the tournament. What I did last year was PM everyone who voted in the first round to vote again in the second and so on...

I know I am no admin but I guess I'd just like to help cos I really like PYW.

I think voters should be allowed to vote again in the Gonzo, Chucho match (Pavel has beaten X-man in the other). If by monday the match is not over then give whoever is in the lead a victory by retirement.

Yep, I'm doing it now. I was going to start it yesterday but the qualies weren't placed for ages and then I went to bed.

I see that at the WTAW there are PYW qualifying rounds. Should we do the same here?

I see. I haven't thought about the rankings. I admit I haven't paid much attention to how things are done at the WTAW regarding PYW. There's already a lot of work with the rankings (ATM there are 215 players and the number keeps growing with every week).

I think teams should be the original, like in Davis Cup and all tournaments.

I guess we'll have to have a vote on that when the time comes. I'm not sure what I think, it would be nice to have the PYW rankings used at some point though.
