Australia vs Spain : Who's going to win?JeLuliA88 10-31-2003, 12:25 AM Davis Cup final is coming in a couple of weeks. My guess, Australia will probably win b/c of the surface, but i will personally be barracking for the spanish armadas.... claudine140 10-31-2003, 09:19 AM Hewitt is not 100% because of a footh injury. If i understood a spanish article correctly, he is operated on his footh. So was not able to practise a lot either. I think it will depend on the conditions of the players at the moment, who is going to win. Grass or not grass.... but i hope the spanjards can win this tie Wojtek 10-31-2003, 10:46 AM Australia esther 11-01-2003, 01:09 AM GO SPAIN!!!!!!!!!! lizabeth..* 11-02-2003, 04:36 AM Maybe Spain can pull a Russia...but I highly doubt it......ohh well....Go Spain! esther 11-05-2003, 07:39 AM *cries* poor france. Next year my frenchies. but for now win for JCF, Spain! :bounce: stefanedberg 11-05-2003, 08:25 PM Spain :hatoff: HybridTheory 11-06-2003, 10:15 AM i HOPE it will be spain, but it will be difficult for sure propi 11-06-2003, 10:54 PM Heart says Spain, brain Australia, but who knows, if Feli is fit and they allow him to play some singles he can do well :D Corredian's_Mind 11-07-2003, 03:58 PM hum don't forget it'll be on grass...i prefer to believe it will be spain! even if it's going to be difficult for the armada!!! allez l'espagneeeee!!!!!!! VaMoS!!! Lynne 11-09-2003, 08:39 AM I'm vying for spain.. but it depends on the circumstances. I just hope that the spainiards are prepared and fit for the tournament.. especially Ferrero and Moya who'll be competing in the Masters Cup. Plus, the Australians have done pretty well on grass..... but I'm sure the spainiards will put up a good fight!! Go, Spain! Beren 11-10-2003, 12:09 PM It´s difficult but...... Spain :p azza 11-11-2003, 04:52 AM Losers aussies are gunna smash the oldies Kristen 11-12-2003, 02:09 AM I think maybe people misread this poll as 'who would you like to win the Davis cup?" I'm an Aussie, but I chose Australia to win because it's the most likely outcome. I *want* Spain to win, but they'll really have to be on their game. With Mark back on the Aussie team, it's going to be tough. He's amazing. Weaknesses: Todd in doubles, if they break him mentally, it could benefit them heaps. also, Lleyton. Not that he's a crap player now he's not #1, but he's been out of real competition for a few weeks now with his wart! hehe, so they might be able to get him on that. Mind you, he does get particularly passionate here. Something I hate to see, and will HATE TO SEE when Australia play my wonderful Sweden in February in Adelaide  (pfft). Is anyone else going to that tie? Anyone that's cheering for Sweden I mean ;) Kristen Scotso 11-20-2003, 12:58 AM Spain :D But I won't mind if Lleyton, I mean Australia, wins. Action Jackson 11-21-2003, 04:09 AM I would love to say Spain, but I don't think they will win. It will be too tough for them to be the Aussies on grass, but the best chance for them to win is for Lopez to play singles. Action Jackson 11-21-2003, 04:14 AM beat the Aussies on grass was what I meant to say. Cris 11-21-2003, 12:02 PM Spain :) Australia is favorite, Hewitt is very motivated... It's hard, but I hope Spain can surprise us. ;) kim4eva 11-22-2003, 03:31 AM Australia :bounce: Jazzy 11-22-2003, 06:39 AM i voted 4 Spain! :) Chloe le Bopper 11-22-2003, 08:18 AM The very fact that Spain has Lopez as their not so secret weapon, goes to show how deep in doodoo they are this tie ;) trixy 11-23-2003, 06:58 AM well im sooo torn as to who i want to win but im gonna go for spain because i just love a good old against the odds tale but i doubt it'll happen so in that case ill be cheering AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE OI OI OI (im such a traitor) | |
