Tommy Haas to beat Roger Federer

Dudes,

If anyone left in the draw can beat Rog, it's got to be Haas! He's probably the only guy left who has any shot at him. We know that Roddick wont come up with the goods (if they meet in the final) so in a sense, this fourth round match is like the final. Does Tommy have a chance?? Post your comments here! Personally, I think Tommy can do it. He's playing near to the best tennis of his career so far and he also has the added confidence from his win over Roger from a couple of weeks back........

These thread posters are absolutely pathetic with their "guesses". Every time Federer plays someone (anyone!) someone has to come up with this crap. If it's a discussion thread then don't post such moron titles! Or if you think Haas will win then say why?? And because you're a Federer-hater is not good enough reason. Just another totally pointless vcash hunting tabloid-titled thread.

Haas is dangerous  . I am rooting for Rogelio though, in straight or 4 sets.

BTW, why is a lot of people ruling out Andy? He's playing great. :)

Seriously, if Haas can lose a set to Luczak...he stands no chance against Roger. Roger was caught napping in Kooyong - end of.

When was the last time that Roger lost consecutive times to the same player? Granted, the Kooyong lost won't be counted in Roger's record, but I don't think Roger will allow himself to lose to the same player twice in a span of two weeks.

I think Roger has already adjusted to Haas's improved game by now. It won't be as easy as his three previous matches, but I trust he would still prevail.

i love how the only match that matters all of a sudden is the kooyong match, what about the match in doha the week before? a competitive match, but roger was always in control(imo), i think it's perfectly plausible that we'll see an outcome like that, but i guess it's silly to also think of the other match they've played this year as any kind of indication.

First off, LleytonRules, obviously Lleyton doesnt rule, second round loss anyone?? If he put as much effort into his tennis as he does into his family life, well then, yes he would rule. He needs to get his priorities in order, he shouldn't be starting a family yet, he needs to focus on his career. He's being careless! You heard what Pat Rafter said, right?

Secondly, do you know Fed?? I presume not so please dont presume to know what Fed knows.

I hate these overly serious posts and remarks, they ruin the aura of the thread.

Hey Sue Ellen, instead of making stupid post like the one u did, why dont u just sit back and enjoy the match!Haas is playing well, no doubt, but it seems like alot of people are getting hyped up cause he beat him in an exhibition match, Federer beat him in Dohar easily, i am sure Roger wants to pay him back!Should be a good match!

Over the last 3 rounds, I've been of the belief that if anyone can beat Federer, it'll be Haas.

Haas is playing exceptionally well - has only dropped one set - and just seerms to be in top form.

If he doesn't beat Federer, then he'll at least give Federer a hard and challenging time on court - something that no one has been able to do so far this Open.

hello my minions...

guess whose back...

all I will say to this is - a lot can happen in a tennis match.....

But calling a prediction on a Haas big-match is very hard - he relli melted against Hewitt in US 04' when it relli mattered and blamed it all on the 'wind'

Sumtimes he brings the goods, sometimes he just implodes simply because he wasn't feeling good that day - Rome 2002 against Agassi anyone??

I want Tommy to win - but it all has to be perfect for it to happen - he has to be in tip top mental state, Federer has to be slightly off his game and there has to be some lucky line calls, net cords along the way too..

Stranger things have happened... just not that often unfortunately
