Nice fighting from Gaston but Fabrice managed to close it out. :woohoo:

Nice win magic Fab :)

Poor Gaston :( Watched the beginning of the match and then, went to sleep

01-20-2006, 06:09 AM
They only showed the last 2 games of the first set and then went to the Roddick match. :o

But Fab played really well in those 2 games at least. A lot of disguise and good netplay as usual. :D

We only got to see the last few games here, but a nice comeback from Gaudio and a nice match from both. Santoro is awesome

The wise old man dominates the fiery Argentine! I like that :D
Congrats Fab! :yeah:
Great achievement and good luck against Ferrer ;)
Time to rest up though...

Congrats Santoro. :)

01-20-2006, 07:14 AM
I watched the entire match and it was really entertaining ;)

Congrats to Fabrice for the win :yeah:

Gaston

The point with 2 "between the legs" shots by each player was awesome... Santoro was cramping, I hope he will go far....

01-20-2006, 08:38 AM
what a pity Gaston, after such an effort!
Santoro: congratulations. Impressive so far.

01-20-2006, 08:52 AM
yeah Santoro! :woohoo:
not big surprise, Gaudio on hardcourt not good

01-20-2006, 09:21 AM
Gastón
Fabrice :yeah:
Not a surprise considering GG´s previous results at the AO... Anyway..., it was a very nice match to watch and great efford from both players. :) I hope Santoro is not too tired for the next match.

Fabrice led 6-3 6-2 4-2. Then found himself a break down in the 5th. Roller coaster match, but really good from both players, we got quite a bit of coverage of it.

bravo fabrice

01-20-2006, 10:46 AM
Gaston better do something in the French or he's out of my support list.

01-20-2006, 10:55 AM
Fabrice :rocker2: :clap2:

they showed Roddick-Benneteau instead of this match. omfg. :hysteric: :retard:s

Santoro - when he's tired he does the craziest stuff! he's too smart.

Gaston ---> :sad: :( :rolleyes:

"It is always tough to play against Fabrice," Gaudio said earlier. "I love to watch him. I think he is one of the most talented players I have ever seen. But to play against him is very tough, almost annoying. You never know what shot he is going to play. It can drive you crazy."

LOL, almost annoying! allons, fabrice!

Santoro just had the better class in the end and Gaudio wilted at 4-5.

The point with 2 "between the legs" shots by each player was awesome...

It was what tennis is all about.

Small wonder there's a whole thread about it.

Santoro is magic. I really love watching him. ;) :bigclap:

I was a great match! But I don't think Gaudio would lost if he hadn't got tired. Anyway, I supported Fabrice all the match. Hope he can do a good match with Ferrer.

gaston wasted some many bps

gaston wasted some many bps

I hope he'll play fantastically in RG. I'll support him loudly there (hopefully...). :)

Well done to both players for what has been a fabulous match apparently.

It was a very entertaining match and I am glad that I recorded it.
Santoro with his usual magic volleys and Gaudio with the best backhand of this world.
Unfortunately, Ferrer will probably make Santoro pay the price for playing bellow his standard in the end of the third set.

Great match of what i saw, well done santoro :)

They just showed highlights on ESPN and wow! They were amazing! I wish I could've seen the whole thing.

There's a nice article about Fabrice, "Santoro and his chamber of secrets," here (http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,17884734%5E2722,00.html), for anyone interested. :)
