Gaudio/Santoro going to a fifth...

The two-set lead that Santoro held has evaporated.

They both look ready to die. Esp. Santoro, he looks dead tired.

If fitness is an issue, then Gaston has a slight advantage.

Gaston I remember had some cramping issues in a marathon match vs Hrbaty last year I think? But yeah, I think he's fitter than Fabrice

oh funk it!!! :( great tennis etc, but wtf! when is Gaston gonna start winning this kind of matches where he has to really put pressure till the end to win?! grrrrrrrrrr. santoro is great but i hated this end.

santoro defeats Gaudio in fifth 6/4 after he converted his first matchpoint when guadio hit a ackhand into the net
the 33yr old frenchman progresses thru
tough lose for guadi who looked out of it then leveled the match but got tired in last set

What a comeback by Gaston only to loose in the 5th

It seems like if it isn't a GS final, he won't win in five sets. :o:p
I think the commentators said something about his five-sets record being 4-12, well 4-13 now... can't say I'm that disappointed he lost because I wanted Fabrice to win, but Gaudio sure had his chances.

Gaston please do better next time.
