Why did Max chose to play here? I know that he has quarterfinal points to defend, but in his current form it would be better for him to play in the small tourneys with weaker fields, e.g. Houston or Munich. Anyway, good luck to him. I think he'll need it. :tape:

It looks like Gaudio isn't sure to play in Barcelona, here's what I've read in Olé:
"Por eso, jugará Valencia y Montecarlo, y volverá al país a descansar, para volver en Roma y Hamburgo." http://www.ole.clarin.com/jsp/v4/pagina.jsp?pagId=1170726
(After Valencia and MC, he will flight back home and come back for Rom and Hamburg).

Fee, is Justin really gonna play here if he gets in!?!?

He's in now because Malisse has pulled out, and as of yesterday he was still talking about going (well, he was actually arguing with me that he wasn't going to get in). I sent him his flight info, I guess I'll know by the time I wake up Friday morning what he decided to do. He might get into Munich or Estoril the following week, so 3 weeks in Europe wasn't a bad trip.

A part of translation from www.ivan-ljubicic.com talking about monte carlo & his retirement and pulling out of open seat godo.

- I am pleased with this quarterfinals. Finally, nontraining on clay courts came to its place. My returns were half meter shorter and Gonzalez punished them. I had everything in first set, and at 5:3 i didnt throw in not one first serve. Toe? Nothin dramatic, small case of tendinitis. Ill go to doctor to see exactly what is it about. No, that was not reason of my defeat, i just didnt play well - said Ivan, who because of a toe problem canceled his play in Open seat godo tournament next week.
