Aus TV always pencilled in Hewitt as their BIG drawcard on the Saturday night
thats why his half always gets a Tuesday start.

now he's out, they're screwed :tape:

Federer vs Mirnyi
local boy Luczak vs Pretty Boy Haas
Chipmunk Hrbaty vs Igor Andreev :tape:
Healy WHO ??? he's an Aussie vs 5 seed Davydenko
Potato Killer vs Vliegen ...... fat chance
(Kiwi vs Sushi) Kiefer vs Ferrero
Mathieu vs Horna :tape:
Grosjean vs Coria (Skater Boi vs Weasel )

only 2 realistic choices, cant see any other match getting over these 2
Federer vs Mirnyi
Luczak vs Haas

Surely Federer Express vs. The BeastThat's what I'd think too. Even though I don't hold much hope for Max, perhaps we'll be similarly entertained as we were with Federer v. Santoro at last year's USO.

Rogi-Haas is an automatic night match, so perhaps Rogi gets two night matches in a row?

Yeah, they'll probably schedule Haas vs. Luczak in the RLA afternoon session, and the night match will then be Fed vs. Mirnyi.

They should take Federer ;)

I think it will be Haas vs Luczak as the later is an Aussie.

well fed said last night that he'd like it to be a night match and i hope it happens that way, although i wouldn't be at all surprised if they picked haas v luczak.

i would love to see Haas back in the limelight
getting top coverage
this is his chance to win a Gs
he is on form & well rested

R.Federer

They probably expect to sell more tickets for Federer than for luczak (even though he is a homeboy he is not as well known and probably not expected to bring any excitement like leyton nor any superlative tennis)

We'll get Luzcak-Haas, pretty certain about that. Though I'd like Federer-Mirnyi or Kiefer-Ferrero, because I think both of them would make interesting matches, while Haas will kill Luzcak in straight sets. I really don't understand why we must see every single aussie's match though, its' getting really boring

Why have you got to criticise players for?
I don't see you out there playing

I'm thinking Fed, just because he hasn't had a night match yet (or even a late day match) and he is the #1 seed. At the US Open he had three night sessions. Although that probably wouldn't have been the case had Roddick not crashed out R1.

luczak vs haas, should be a good match anyway

No, I complain because we always get the same people, the aussies and the usual guys. The tournaments aren't decided between 5 or 6 players, so I would like to see the rest of the tour too, not just whoever happens to be playing those guys. I'd rather they showed the matches that look promising and competitive so people can be attracted to the sport, rather than watch people get a scoreline like 6-0 6-1. If Ferrero is being televised thats a bonus though, but on the contrary to what you believe, I do enjoy good matches, not just Ferrero.
