If he's not, then he's a dead ringer to Faurel.

According to commentators here, he makes average 40,000 a year on pro-tour, he's very likely needs a job like this ;)

That's what I thought :p

But I wasn't sure, and I Googled it and found nothing

That does look like him, similar height too... lot of times people that appear in music videos are uncredited, I know a girl that has done backup dancing in a few videos, but was never listed in any sort of credits (or she was lying to me ;))

I was looking into some French music on the TV5 site and saw this clip, liked the song and then I saw someone who looked very much like Faurel

I speak French, but not as a native language ;)

OK. :)
I was stunned to see a Dutch talking about a French song, which is not that known in France. That's why I needed explanations ;)
It's great for your musical culture to listen to Anais! (she's an awesome artist)

Hrhmm i don't really like him. Jonatan is known thanks to the French Pop idol
He's got some talent and is quite good looking... I guess that makes him a good pop idol winner but the songs he released later on were bloody popy s**t :tape:
This guy would need some "rock spirit".
Anais is a thousand times better artist than Jonatan. :wavey:

Btw the thread title changed... so this is really JC Faurel?

You have to know about her! :wavey: Her album is called the "cheap show".
C'est une artiste indé, je l'ai découverte en écoutant le mouv'.
Tu peux voir son clip gratuitement sur le site d'MCM, et donc apparament le joueur de tennis dedans serait Faurel! Sa chanson est trop trippante :yeah:

What a find! I've seen the clip plenty of times but i had never realized it was Faurel...

That's far from being Anaïs' best song... But there are many others of her i like. ;)

Oh and TV5's site is far from being the best place to see interesting French music...hum... (="Nouvelle chanson française", "guinche", French rock and "paroliers" and French rap which are fantastic and exploding right now with lots of new artists appearing...because the rest =mostly ridiculous pop à la Star Ac', caricature of R&B etc...suck big time to say the least...). Actually, what can be considered good from TV5?... :o

Yeha i know ;) I remember I was with my French nieces when he won and they were like," OMG, OMG, OMG Jonatan won :bounce: *hysterical" They were absolutly shocked when I told them i had no idea who he was :o They thought that every Belgian knew him and were the hugest fan of him ;)

Oh well, never been a fan of Pop Idol anyway :p (although I do enjoy the pre-selections ;) )

I understand but...:tape: Sorry. I don't like "mainstream", industrialized (French) music. I like little groups or singers/ paroliers who get big through "bouche-à-oreille" in milieus where people really like music and parties and who then get recuperated by the medias later when they got big that way through real talent and success, being good when they play live etc... That's how it work, sadly. those the media/the industry litteraly make are very often s***. And that's almost the only ones you'll see on tv5 sites and that's what you get to see on tv5 the channel: only the worst Francophones show ever when that's a shame really since there are plenty who are fantastic and worth to see. It's all about contracts. :o
Surfing the web through their sites and associations' sites (they often regroup and fight for the same causes etc...), going to concerts where a few of them play together etc...is a better way to find new things for a foreigner imo. I'll give you a few names to search for by PM if you're interested. ;)
