a close match, congrats ToJo!!:yeah:
X-man saved 2 mps, nice effort!

edit: oops,4mps! but how could ToJo waste so many of 'em? :(

When oh when will Malisse win a match of importance and fulfil his talent? Again his shotmaking is at times out of this world but mentally he just goes walkies so very often. Next time eh Xavier?

I hoped Malisse turns the match, but Johansson wins :(
it was good match of Malisse, but should have won 3rd set

Bloody Awesome 5th set Thomas

Wonderful outcome out of a Swedish perspective. Some brilliant duels every now and then, and a remarkable forehand volley-save by ToJo in that final service game. Props!

Seems both were playing well! :)

Congratulations for ToJo and it's good to see Malisse fighting like that and he had his chances but

Damn, this is disappointing.

X-man fough hard, saved 4 mps, but couldn't do it. Good match.

Congrads ToJo.

A really good match. A pity someone had to lose. Malisse saved 4 mp's and had a bp to get the 5th back on serve but couldn't capitalize. Great tennis. This match had everything.

:yeah: Tojo

:hatoff: Xman

He saved 4 MP's, learn to count. Great match even though Malisse lost. The davis cup like atmosfere was great!

What a match :bigclap: great entertainment and a great atmosphere.

Damn! I was really hoping that Malisse would win this. His year is good so far, but his draw a bit rotten.

Good for TOJO. I like him a lot. Keep it up.

I'm sorry if I burst the bubble in here but it really wasn't a very good match. Both players made far too many unforced errors, and not many winners. The crowd was great, they added a lot to the match but in terms of quality, it was very poor. Afterwards they switched to the Nalbandian match and it was far better quality.

Anyway, Malisse lost the match because of foot faults. He had already been called for a few, then when he served for the 3rd set at 5-4 he served an ace but got called for a foot fault. He blew his top, and got broken to 0 and lost the set. He did well to fight after that, I thought he'd cave in but he did well to take the 4th, but Johansson played pretty well in the 5th to be fair.

:D ToJo!
Malisse, you need to work your ranking up, so you don't have to play these kind of matches so early on in a slam.

it's only a matter of time before Tojo chokes....
