Maybe. No way Andy was gonna lose to him 2 times in a row anyway :p

At the start of the tournament there was talk about how Roddick's draw was tough with Dent, Ginepri and Blake in his half. The thinking was that Dent was in great shape and Ginepri and Blake would be picking where they left off at the US Open. It looks like Ginepri is either an up and down type or else he simply only plays well when he's in the U.S.

Based on how they matched up in Indy and the runs they both had at the US Open it appeared that Ginepri had stepped up another level and that Roddick had stepped down. Apparently that's not the case.

He was shouting to himself all the time, and walking around the court with a bad posture, even when the 5th set was still tied. He seemed pissed off without a real reason and missed some really easy shots.

It looks like Ginepri is either an up and down type or else he simply only plays well when he's in the U.S.he played great in madrid at the end of last year so I think he's just inconsistent. Andy never should've lost the match last year anyway so I was pretty confident about Andy beating him if they were to meet up in the 4th round. But now it's irrelevant anyway.

If Ginepri is a rising star, than the likes of Davydenko, Ivo Karlovic and let's not forgotten the irresistable Muller of Luxemborg are champions in the making, with plenty of potential and surely will dominate the game. It is only inevitable that such a grand feat be accomplished.

Now, let's step into reality: Ginepri is a grinder, he's now achieved the status of a poor man's Vince Spadea, no one and not even American fans really care much what happens to the guy.

Andy and James are "golden boys" of American Men's Tennis, that being said, Ginepri was an imposter and simply being exposed, imbroglione is the most appropriate adjective to describe him.

Ginepri is definitely a grinder (and not even a good counter-puncher). He was winning because of his consistency and better mental fortitude but it seems as though that was more of a flash in the pan. The good thing for his fans probably is that he seemed to be frustrated by his inconsistency so there is hope yet.

Simply because you dislike a specific player doesn't warrant or excuse referring to them in a derogatory sense.

I don't like Serena's game either, but Andy Roddick is even less intriguing to me, if you're going to play by that set of rules then you'd better be strapped into your computer chair, because feelings are going to get hurt.

What's my avatar have to do with tennis ? Do the research, most of the topics that I've discussed on this board would be completely and utterly over your head.

The fact that you embrace a ball-basher that personifies everything that is wrong in Men's Tennis this day in age, not only is that despicable, but it's comedic and foolish.

If you're going to embrace a one-dimensional product of modern technology on the Men's Side, why not embrace Serena Williams ?

Sry Robby, i remember 1st time i seen you play live, you lost to Hewitt 6-0 6-0, i must say you have improved.

For the record we have talked before.

Perhaps I embrace entertainment and power is platform of tennis just a finesse is. Old school I am sorry haven't accepted that.

Sorry would you like me to post a picture of Anna Kournakova for you...you might like that part of tennis better because that's clearly more important than players with acutal talent.

There is plenty of talent on tour.

Per esempio:
Roger Federer - he is everything that used to be good about tennis.
Richard Gasquet - the talented frenchman that plays a most delightful and enjoyable style of game. He is full of variety, style, creativity and charisma.

You enjoy watching ball-bashing, I enjoy watching actual tennis. Roddick could only hope to be mentioned in the same breath as Roger, as it will never happen and simply because he's no tennis player, but merely a ball-bashing brainless and uncreative neandthedral that possesses no class on the court.

Roger and Richard could play using any technology, I think my point here has been made.

Move along, continue to criticize female players for possessing the same traits that your favorite possesses.

Fatass ? Last time I checked, Andy's body wasn't an absolute work of art.
Serena is just as entertaining, it's funny to see you taking the bait. Keep up the good work kiddo.

Top Ten Reasons Why Andy is NOT Serena:

10. Andy dresses appropriately (except when he wears suits and sneakers but who cares).
9. Andy has a special sponsor (Lacoste) and is not just another Nike clone.
8. Andy has a big butt. No wait -- bad example. Movin' on.
7. Andy is superfit and has no weight to lose.
6. Andy is masculine. (oops, another bad example!)
5. Only the balls bounce when Andy moves. Both sets. :lick:
4. Andy is happy in Austin and doesn't fight down the Hollywood scene.
3. Andy's ex (Mandy Moore) is sexy and gorgeous. Can't say the same for either Rattner or Keyshawn.
2. Andy's parents allow him to be in the spotlight.

And the #1 reason why Andy is NOT Serena.....drumroll....

Yes, Roger and Richard are both attractive specimens (especially appealing to a heterosexual) , funny that you've chosen to completely ignore the facts and continue to focus on an avatar of nothing more than a mediocre tennis player with absolutely gorgeous looks.

This card you've chosen to play is a disappointment, a pity that you couldn't conjure up anything more entertaining or relevant to the topic at hand.

Serena Williams 7 GS.
Andy Roddick 1 (0 if not for the USTA cheating Nalbandian).
1. you can't compare the WTA and the ATP. it is still a lot easier to win Slams on the women's side of the fence. that's why Steffi has 22 and her husband has less than half that. even though he worked ten times as hard to get the ones he did. (not knocking Ms. Graf as the hardworker she most definitely is). but when Hingis can come back and make it to the semifinals of her first tourny, don't even waste your time comapring the men and the women. apples and oranges i say.
2. Andy has never cheated anyone. the USTA tried to help BOTH him Agassi a few USO's ago. i admit. but even then you can't say that ANDY cheated. get it?

Gremelmayr was totally pumped up, had the crowd chanting and stomping on the seats for him, was in full spirirs while Ginepri was going through the motions. He is a lefty player with a nice little double handed backhand, not many errors. Wears Fila. There is your scouting report on Gremelmayr. Now Roddick-Moodie is starting.

Ok................aren't you quite sour tonight! At least with Serena, the problem is she isn't playing at her best and her lack of obvious interest in tennis. What is Andy's best tennis? To compare Serena and Andy is simply rediculous. Is there even a remote possibility that Andy has the necessary talent to be the no. 1 player in tennis again for a period that is half of his previous short stay at the top? NO. Does Serena have the talent to be no. 1 again? Without doubt, YES. That's the true difference between the both. One is naturally talented and the other has a very good tennis game.

It's certainly not as simple as that, but very quickly...

1) Hingis has a unique game which a lot of girls are not used to playing against.

2) Hingis' standard has not dropped much from when she was still on the tour.

3) We're discussing Serena, who was dominant in 2002/2003, so what relevance does the standard of the WTA now have to do with the whole thing?

Considering how disappointed in Ginepri PMac kept saying he was during Andy's match....I don't think there is much chance of him getting the second spot. I think James has the best shot, unless Andre decides to play.
Lol, I totally forgot about Blake, my fault! You're right of course :yeah:

Gremelmayr played Federer last year, but you probably don't know, because you only look at beautiful Roger and don't respect his opponents.

or maybe the thrashing he received wasn't enough for him to stick around in my memory :)
