I actually like how Ivan is saving himself for tougher matchups. Today he didnt serve very fast at at and only had 3 aces, in fact Ivans fastest serve of the match was lower then Kohlschreibers who doesnt have a very powerful serve at all. I hope it pays off in the upcoming rounds.

I think he was fairly relaxed and seemed to be enjoying himself. I think Ljubicic has come to the AO with a game plan. I'm actually feeling good about his chances of going deep into this tournament .

LOL Ivan has already defended all of his points from last years AO. He has some major points to get from the Australian Open and US Open and he can probably do better than a first round at the French and Wimbledon so things are looking good provided he can defend most of his points from other titles.

He wont have to defend most of the other points if he does well in 4 of GS. :)

I don't know what Kohlschreiber was thinking today. Such a bad match from him. I thought he would have a good chance to win this one.

All that Ljubicic can do is serve, not much else. And he has high selfconfidence. That was not a good match of Kohlschreiber, he should have won two sets in this match. He is not good enough yet to be patient and to make Ljubiprick run when he looks patetic. 90% of time Kohlschreiber commanded the point running Ljubicic over court he looked good. I think Kohlschreiber will have ok future, can stay in top 40 for long time I say. Has beautifully game and fast arm.

see now i know you're stupid, Ljubicic didnt even serve anywhere close to his normal, Kohlschreiber had the hardest serve of match, and he is a SLOW server, Ivan's avg 1st serve for the match was about 190kpm=118mph, well off from this normal of 130-140,

I rest my case :)

Jerry, when talking about average 1st serve speed, 130-140 mph as an average is too high for Ljubicic, it would be more like 120-130mph as average 1st serve speed.

the point is, he didnt serve no where close to what he can do and still won, but according to jogy, he is all serve.

125-135 is more accurate :)

yes, looks 5mph more accurate ;)
but saying somebody has 1st serves up to 140 mph in AVERAGE, is really a bit high, even for Ljubicic who hits fast

thanks for looking at the BIG picture here :) :wavey: which is Ivan won easily without a serve :)

u are pretty wrong, 118 mph is a great average speed and that is pretty usual for ljubicic

right.... its not even close. do you even know anything about him?

there is no player who serves at the same speed in every match

for example tursunov served at 120 mph against henman, and at 112 mph against robredo
ancic served at 110 mph against calleri and at 117 mph against hernych

right.... its not even close. do you even know anything about him?
