Pavel looked like an easy straight sets winner, but then he tightened up and got really nervous, and Moya woke up towards the end of the 3rd set. Moya's forehand starting working well and when he pulled back to 2 sets all he looked like the likely winner. Even when Pavel broke to lead 4-1 in the 5th it still looked like Moya could pull out the win because Pavel was so nervous, - but in the end - credit to him - he kept himself together long enough to take the final set - helped by too many unforced erros from an out-of-sorts Moya. At second Carlos started well with a break up, then Pavel broke back and the went to TB. AT tie-break Carlos (like Chennai's final against Ljubicic) wasted a MiniBreak up. Third set Carlos was really down at the beginning of set, but then he started to hold his solid serve and broke him at 10th game of 4th set. 4th set Carlos start to play more agressive with his serve and forehand. Pavel looked a bit tired. At 5th Pavel came in and wasted some break point before broke him finally. Carlos reaction's equaled the score for 4all. Then Pavel held and the broke him for end the match. Summary: Pavel played really well and surpised Carlos with a more agressive game. Carlos wake up at the end of 2nd set but he wasted his chances. Then Carlos could impose his agressive serve and forehand and Pavel culdn't do more. At last set Pavel woke up finally and take the final set after was up 4-1 and Carlos equaled. It was a good match for watch, I think that was a difficult match for Carlos because after Sydney's WO he was 3 days without trainning. Anyway Carlos must make his chances. Congrats to Pavel for the win, he was patient and he waited and made his chances at 5th set. While people talk about Moya's unforced errors, Pavel actually had more until late in the match, he also had less winners but won the points that mattered. His magical backhand seemed to be working very well today and his net approaches were very successful. He got very frustrated during the match... belted a ball out of the court over into Margaret Court Arena :o, got a bit narky, but held his concentration rather than falling apart. I wish he could have finished it in 3 sets (so I could have seen some other matches :p) but I'm glad I witnessed such a great match. I really had a rollercoaster ride of emotions throughout and tears of joy at the end!
