Gasquet vs Haas is just sad and frustrating 1st round match for Gasquet concerning both forms at the moment. I hope he can pull it off, if it's just slump game/mental wise, perhaps he can do it. Or is there something serious about his recent losses (like injuries, whatever)?

Richard is in such terrible form that his trainer told a French newspaper that they had thought about skipping AO if he was not finding his tennis quickly enough. It was just after his defeat against Andreev. There was probably some bluff behind it (probably to give a shot in the arm of Richie).

Anyway, if by miracle he can get past the red hot Haas, there is Novak waiting for him in the 2nd round. :banghead:

I am hoping for a Gasquet victory but I am expecting Haas in 4. He is in tremendous form. In Doha he played brilliantly against Federer. He was beaten comfortably but he still played well and then he beet fed at Kooyong. Gasquet looked brilliant at times against Henman but was too inconsistent.
