:p
Hello, does anyone know when he will play Dupuis tomorrow?
And how come he didn't really look happy or exalted or anything when he won the title in St Petersburg last year? If you didn't know any better you'd almost believe he was the loser...

yeah i noticed that too
he was asked about that in a chat once *bad memories* and someone asked 'werent u happy when you won St Petersburg'?? And he was like...what? of course i was!!

thing is...it was the week of Lola's bday so he mentioned her a few times during interviews so i think he really missed his family

 What bad memories are you referring to? Grosjeans bad memories about being alone without his family (how sweet) or you really hating that unfortunate chat?
By the way, don't really understand why you disliked his flirty attitude so much! I mean, he's French, they are supposed to be like that, and anyway he must have been joking coz I really think he loves his wife & kids. I think it was all just his sense of humour.

Flirty Attitude?? When? Sorry couldn't follow it..
There was one time in an interview of a Grand Slam with Seb, the interviewer said: " there were some girls saying you were sexy", and he said: "what girls, what girls".. I thought it was really strange, but alright.. I can understand though the poor guy

Hello Lizan,
I'm talking about an old thread by Esther in which she's pretty shocked by Grosjean's behaviour in a chat from Rotterdam, I think it was. People asked him a lot of rather personal questions and a couple of girls were very giggly and kept saying stuff about him being so cute. He responded by being a bit flirty, like asking if they wanted to meet him at the hotel and so on. I just thought he was being funny/flirty and that he didn't mean anything, you know, just being very French ;) - but Esther didn't like his attitude, him being married and all.
I think it was all very innocent and yes, funny. Just like the interview you're talking about. What else could he possibly say without sounding either vain or boring? It was just banding words with a reporter with a silly question!

*sigh* realllllly dont want to get back to that but for explanation sake will make it simple...woke up at 5am on school day (coming from someone who needs 12 hours sleep!) and was excited out of my mind after finding out seb was doing a live chat...got asked ridiculously 1) gay 2) stupid 3) obvious or 4) really really stupid unproffesional uncalled for questions.

i still dont think i took it too seriously i thought it was insane and still do

ah yeah I understand.. I think it's on one hand kind of strange because of his wife and kids , I mean I wouldn't do it.. But on the other hand, he has to give some nice answers (like abrunjensen said, they shouldn't be to boring) and maybe he didn't know how else to react on that question. But I think It's kind of strange to, I wouldn't do it..

You've got to remember that it's his wife and kids he goes home to.Life would be really boring without a bit of flirting/flattery.As the saying goes :Saying it and doing it are entirely different things!Believe me,I've been with my partner for 13 years

you know, just being very French
Sorry, I don't see...

For the rest, I agree with you girls, all these chats are boring for the players, always these same stupid questions...Seb just answered to their provocation, that's all. It is so clear for me that for SEb, it was just humour, I don't see why it's unsane. If he really had wanted to flirt with these girls, he would had not showed it a front of thousands people, on the web, on the official site of the tournament...
As you can see, this anecdot makes me nervous...Seb is not unsane, not unloyal, not crazy.Maybe he was annoying bu these girls and he prefered to answer by provocation.

.you know, just being very French ;) .

he didnt flirt with girls cos he's french...he flirted with girls only cos he wanted to do it.not all french players r flirty,i can assure you that.
(I wish someone I like was flirty :p *shut up,Vale*)

I found kinda weird his attitude too.I expected him to not answer to stupid questions, instead he looked interested ONLY in drooling girls.that's disappointing, specially from a supposed-to-be family man like Seb.

I've partecipated to several chats with several players and I can tell you that this was the first time I saw a player flirting and joking and picking up girls in a public chat.maybe the problem was that the chat was unmoderated but still he should have been wiser and more mature.

Yeah but on the otherhand, you know, he probably (??) hardly sees his wife.. So you know I do understand, and when you like to flirt (I mean who doesn't) then why not huh? But I don't know, but these girls were probably like 14 or sth, and that is NOT that good ehe!!

Lizan
10-25-2003, 12:29 PM
And I still think it's kindda weird coz he has kids!!

Well if anyone sees a young girl at a match with a cute, hairy baby with red shorts and a cap on backwards - should we start to worry? Haha.

He was probably only joking, but if I was his wife, I don't think I'd be too impressed.

Not Everyone likes to flirt..specially if you have a serious relationship :(
I've been with my bf for the last 5 years and half and I dont flirt online with boys...and Seb shouldnt do it neither cos he's married

Lizan
10-25-2003, 03:44 PM
hehe, yeah but that's what I said..
And I meant with flirting when you are not in a relationship which actually means that Seb shouldn't have done it.. You know I don't know  , I'm in a crisis here. On one hand I think whatever you know, do what you wanna do I mean yeah... And on the otherhand, what Vale says is really right.. So I dunno!!
But you know, it's his life.. So

Marine

It's the last time I speak about that here, because :fiery:.
On a french site, I read (just after this chat) that someone (very stupid !) had taken seb's name and had answered to his place, I don't know if it's true, but it could explain some things...

THANK YOU VALE!!!!!!!!!! :worship:
What would i do without you...you saved me after that chat!

and yeah marine thats not possible.
HE WAS the one chatting for sure. I'm sorry but i dont think i'll ever change the way i fell/felt about that chat...it was extremely unprofessional and just...disapointing. I was actually screaming in the chat going YOU HAVE A WIFE AND KIDS YOU *&^@#$ ...i was sooo pissed off but i got over it...thanks to vale but it was still TOTALLY WRONG.

So...Can we pllease drop this...lol...

I'm so sorry, I never meant to upset anyone with my stupid 'being French' remark. It wasn't a slur on the French or Grosjean! I just tried to be funny - in a completely unfunny way it seems! Of course I don't think Grosjean or any other French player are insane, obscene, or immature just becoz they flirt a bit on a live-chat (or don't flirt at all) - okay, it was really a bad idea to go back to Grosjean's chat, let's just forget about it and remember all the great things about him!

So, about his next match...
Am not too optimistic about the draw. Seems to be a tough deal, with Mark P, Federer and Roddick lining up. If he can't make it to Masters (and I suppose it's now impossible) and he can't win the tournament, at least I hope Roddick won't get the title!
Ah well, I refuse to believe the worst.
Go Grosjean!
